It was hot in my house last night. I think they couldn't really keep up yesterday cause it was like 117 years or something. So it was like up in the lower 70s when I went to bed like 72 or 74 something like that sucked Still slept pretty good though For the most part, I guess How about you? I'm sure you didn't sleep well at all. That's just that's just your life. But I hope you did. You deserve some sleep. Need some sleep with all all the activity going on and now you're fixed up your whole house It's so cute. I'm so pretty. It's not cute. It's impressive and I'm proud of you. [2026-07-22 08:15:00] Sam Willis: <no text>
[2026-07-22 08:17:00] Dave: Yeah. It really is no way to spend your life š
[2026-07-22 08:18:00] Dave: You sound pretty good this morning š
[2026-07-22 08:19:00] Dave: Why donāt you try taking some Aleve before you go to bed?
[2026-07-22 08:20:00] Dave: Aleve
[2026-07-22 08:20:00] Sam Willis: Aleve or ibuprofen
[2026-07-22 08:20:00] Dave: Jesus⦠the fucking dog door lol
[2026-07-22 08:20:00] Sam Willis: Why that
[2026-07-22 08:20:00] Sam Willis: ?
[2026-07-22 08:20:00] Sam Willis: Aleve or ibuprofen
[2026-07-22 08:21:00] Dave: Because it works longer than ibuprofen. And because itās a different medicine. You currently take ibuprofen right? Try something different.
[2026-07-22 08:23:00] Dave: Your house right now has like 3 completely empty roomsā¦
[2026-07-22 08:23:00] Dave: lol⦠Iām going to be depressed here
[2026-07-22 08:24:00] Dave: Baby, youāre ALWAYS stressing. This is nothing new.
[2026-07-22 08:24:00] Sam Willis: Oh yea. Kind of forgot about thatā¦š
[2026-07-22 08:24:00] Sam Willis: Oh yea. Kind of forgot about thatā¦š
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Sam Willis: Itās a thing!!
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Sam Willis: Right but Iām even MORE insufferable right now
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Dave: And I DO want to hear it! I love talking to you about all the crazy thoughts you have š„°
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Sam Willis: I typically donāt take anything before bed bc I try not to in order to avoid liver problems or whatever lol
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Sam Willis: I typically donāt take anything before bed bc I try not to in order to avoid liver problems or whatever lol
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Sam Willis: Itās a thing!!
[2026-07-22 08:25:00] Sam Willis: Right but Iām even MORE insufferable right now
[2026-07-22 08:26:00] Dave: Bro. A dose of alave is less harmful to your life than 1 alcoholic beverage.
[2026-07-22 08:26:00] Dave: Bro. A dose of alave is less harmful to your life than 1 alcoholic beverage.
[2026-07-22 08:27:00] Dave: Thatās not possible. You were already at max insufferability lol
[2026-07-22 08:27:00] Dave: Thatās not possible. You were already at max insufferability lol
[2026-07-22 08:27:00] Sam Willis: SEE?!?
[2026-07-22 08:27:00] Sam Willis: SEE?!?
[2026-07-22 08:27:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: Can we also talk about I think about this often I don't know if you ever think of this but I just saw your thing about to leave. OK I'll get some Aleve don't ever take a leave even a leave anyway have you ever thought about this like you ordered stuff off of Amazon and it comes Separately like within minutes of each other like literally dude I've had three different Amazon deliveries in the past 30 minutes and it's like there's gotta be the people in the warehouse to plan out the logistics. I've always thought about this. I know this is like would be a massive undertaking, but there's gotta be a better way to like plan out your drivers in your commute like wire three different drivers coming here. You know like there can't be that many warehouses that close that they're pulling shit from three different warehouses. It just seems like there's some more efficient ways to do this.
[2026-07-22 08:29:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: And yes, I know like logistics has been around forever. This isn't a new fucking thing or like a novel idea. People know how to do this way better than I ever would, but when I literally go to buy something and I say add to tomorrow's delivery. Why is it not the same delivery?
[2026-07-22 08:30:00] Sam Willis: I see a lot of opportunity here
[2026-07-22 08:30:00] Dave: Amazon is so highly optimized that I would bet 3 delivers is definitely the most efficient way. Otherwise, they wouldnāt do it like that lol
[2026-07-22 08:30:00] Sam Willis: How can 3 be better than 1?!?!
[2026-07-22 08:30:00] Sam Willis: Cost savings 101
[2026-07-22 08:30:00] Dave: Amazon is so highly optimized that I would bet 3 delivers is definitely the most efficient way. Otherwise, they wouldnāt do it like that lol
[2026-07-22 08:30:00] Sam Willis: I think theyāve grown too big for their britches and they are NOT that optimized anymore
[2026-07-22 08:31:00] Dave: Fromā¦. Your house. With no view whatsoever into their operation
[2026-07-22 08:31:00] Dave: Fromā¦. Your house. With no view whatsoever into their operation
[2026-07-22 08:32:00] Sam Willis: Thatās where all great ideas start, Daveā¦.
[2026-07-22 08:33:00] Dave: Because theyāre coming from 3 different locations most likely. And combining them before delivery would cost more in mileage, man hours, whatever, than just 3 separate routes.
[2026-07-22 08:33:00] Dave: Because theyāre coming from 3 different locations most likely. And combining them before delivery would cost more in mileage, man hours, whatever, than just 3 separate routes.
[2026-07-22 08:33:00] Sam Willis: There are 3 locations THAT close together?? š¤
[2026-07-22 08:33:00] Dave: There are probably a dozen locations across Phoenix
[2026-07-22 08:34:00] Dave: Well maybe you could get a job there and get them up to speed
[2026-07-22 08:34:00] Sam Willis: Iām just saying. Maybe theyāve gone downhill as theyāve gotten bigger
[2026-07-22 08:34:00] Dave: All containing different items
[2026-07-22 08:34:00] Sam Willis: And the CEO has lost control of it, ya never know!
[2026-07-22 08:35:00] Sam Willis: you can!! lol
[2026-07-22 08:36:00] Dave: Idk if you noticed the cyclic pattern but, you had your 1 sick day per month yesterday. And today youāre clearly in a much better mood š
[2026-07-22 08:36:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: I'm sure we've talked about this before, but do you know what I actually see you doing what we have talked about this before like the date in our stuff but like I do totally see you not There's a dog out there she's here Calm down I see you like not in an office job like maybe you have an office that you like have to sit up for a bit Do some stuff on the computer, but I see you in a job where you're like out in the field and you're like hands-on equipment you know maybe you like to work every day in overalls or something like I just I can see you doing that and I can see you tinkering, but not like you're a mechanic it's like a mix of office And Tinkering with a machine just saying
[2026-07-22 08:37:00] Sam Willis: Is that my pattern? And this was my only sick day this month?
[2026-07-22 08:37:00] Dave: YOU told me about that pattern lol.
[2026-07-22 08:37:00] Sam Willis: Is that my pattern? And this was my only sick day this month?
[2026-07-22 08:38:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: OK, yeah I know the pattern of my one sick day a month and I did tell you that pattern but is my pattern also that then the next day I'm in a good mood cause I don't recall that but it's definitely a possibility. It makes sense.
[2026-07-22 08:38:00] Dave: And Iāve observed it to be accurate
[2026-07-22 08:41:00] Dave: Also šÆ. I fucking hate this.
[2026-07-22 08:41:00] Dave: Also šÆ. I fucking hate this.
[2026-07-22 08:43:00] Dave: Yeah because the sick day is the apex of your menstrual phase. The absolute worst day and you canāt even stand it anymore so call in sick (because thatās what it takes for you to use a sick day š). So then the next day, youāre feeling better. Also, watch⦠youāll be horny later today from the office š
[2026-07-22 08:43:00] Dave: Yeah because the sick day is the apex of your menstrual phase. [2026-07-22 08:48:00] Sam Willis: IāM SO PREDICTABLE!! š¤£
[2026-07-22 08:49:00] Sam Willis: But youāve probably jinxed me now. Jerk. Lol
[2026-07-22 08:49:00] Sam Willis: Like what
[2026-07-22 08:49:00] Dave: And, as you know, Iām already barely making anything
[2026-07-22 08:49:00] Dave: Thing is⦠none of the kind of jobs Iād like to do pay enough š«¤
[2026-07-22 08:49:00] Dave: Thing is⦠none of the kind of jobs Iād like to do pay enough š«¤
[2026-07-22 08:49:00] Dave: And, as you know, Iām already barely making anything
[2026-07-22 08:51:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: First off just like how we've talked about how you know half $1 million houses were like oh my God that's so cheap OK since when is making like mid six figures nothing That's not true, but also like OK. You already have a law-enforcement background you should go be one of the drone operators for whenever. Please are like in an ambush and I need to figure out where the hell the shooter is actually, you know hiding in the woods or you know you should operate the little heat thing so when it's nighttime, you can find the body heat of the killer that's hiding from the cops. You should totally do that stuff and I bet it pays right like surely you could totally be a drone operator and there's more like oh my God you could be the drone operator for the companies that go out and look for missing dogs in the desert or in the woods there's so many opportunities here like literally start your own business.
[2026-07-22 08:52:00] Dave: I donāt know. But everything that seems like my vibe - like data center commissioning, or some kind of electronics operator/technician, or things in that neighborhood that Iāve looked at MAX OUT at like 150 at best. Most even less.
[2026-07-22 08:52:00] Dave: I donāt know. But everything that seems like my vibe - like data center commissioning, or some kind of electronics operator/technician, or things in that neighborhood that Iāve looked at MAX OUT at like 150 at best. Most even less.
[2026-07-22 08:52:00] Sam Willis: OK not mid six figures. Mid 100s
[2026-07-22 08:53:00] Sam Willis: But maybe thatās enough and worth it, if youāre happy!
[2026-07-22 08:54:00] Dave: And unfortunately, the police just train people who are ALREADY cops to do this things.
[2026-07-22 08:54:00] Dave: Mid 100s is trash BECAUSE half a million dollar houses are ācheapā now.
[2026-07-22 08:54:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: Also aren't like the trees like welding, plumbing electricians don't they actually make like fucking bank for you know the amount of time they have to spend on each job I mean yes I know that it's hard work but like they're making good money I'm pretty sure
[2026-07-22 08:54:00] Dave: And unfortunately, the police just train people who are ALREADY cops to do this things.
[2026-07-22 08:54:00] Dave: Mid 100s is trash BECAUSE half a million dollar houses are ācheapā now.
[2026-07-22 08:54:00] Sam Willis: Ugh
[2026-07-22 08:57:00] Dave: They make good money⦠compared to what they used to make 30 years ago. But itās still under 100k unless youāre a legit master OR work tons of OT.
[2026-07-22 08:57:00] Dave: To make actual āgood moneyā, you have to work like 14 hours days, 6-7 days a week
[2026-07-22 08:57:00] Dave: To make actual āgood moneyā, you have to work like 14 hours days, 6-7 days a week
[2026-07-22 08:57:00] Dave: They make good money⦠compared to what they used to make 30 years ago. But itās still under 100k unless youāre a legit master OR work tons of OT.
[2026-07-22 08:59:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: And see this is how corporate America has turned us into slaves essentially and I've thought about this especially as I've been job searching like even Schwab. I'm sitting here having dreams about our nightmares about how I'm being fired. We have layoffs all the time. They just continue cutting You know benefits from us and it just keeps getting worse and worse while they get more and more rich but yet they are still at the end of the day paying us an amount that it's very hard to walk away from like with the salary with the bonus with the stock options with the SPP all for stuff like we are making good money and that's how they fucking keep us and it's so sucking yet we stay It's so gross
[2026-07-22 09:00:00] Dave: This is what led me to the DC commissioning agent job. But the way things are going with AI and DCs (impending AI bubble, and growing public outrage over DCs) I decided that was too risky.
[2026-07-22 09:00:00] Dave: See how talkative you are today?? At 0700!!
[2026-07-22 09:00:00] Dave: This is what led me to the DC commissioning agent job. But the way things are going with AI and DCs (impending AI bubble, and growing public outrage over DCs) I decided that was too risky.
[2026-07-22 09:01:00] Dave: I love it š„°š„°š„°
[2026-07-22 09:02:00] Dave: Definitely gonna be horny later š
[2026-07-22 09:33:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: You're gonna hate me, but I started making. I'm making a lot of mental list you know as you can imagine because of rain full things and then I started thinking about you and then I was thinking about how like one of these days I might you know be actually really sad that I don't have my own kids and then I started thinking about my family. Then I started thinking about how my parents are getting older than I started thinking about your mom and how she's getting older and how you haven't seen her and so I've come full circle now and I started making a mental list of all the things that you need to do that we talked about. One is need to go see your mom too. You need to get a fucking colonoscopy three you still haven't talked to the Schwab retirement people. And four I'm sure there's more but I just can't think of them at the moment but now I have a mental list going for you so get the shit done please thank you
[2026-07-22 09:35:00] Dave: I do hate you
[2026-07-22 09:35:00] Dave: And I do love you
[2026-07-22 09:35:00] Dave: LMAO
[2026-07-22 09:36:00] Dave: This reminds me⦠READ GETTING THINGS DONE. This is literally, exactly what itās about.
[2026-07-22 09:37:00] Sam Willis: Bitch I already get shit done!
[2026-07-22 09:37:00] Dave: Like⦠sleep?
[2026-07-22 09:37:00] Sam Willis: š¤Ŗ
[2026-07-22 09:37:00] Dave: No
[2026-07-22 09:38:00] Sam Willis: According to Oura, Iām fine
[2026-07-22 09:38:00] Sam Willis: <no text>
[2026-07-22 09:38:00] Dave: I promise you that youāll sleep great if you implement GTD and made yourself follow it
[2026-07-22 09:38:00] Sam Willis: It also often thinks Iām going to bed at 1030 vs 930 but whatevs
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Dave: Everything has changed lol
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Sam Willis: I USED to sleep so great. I donāt know what changed!
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Sam Willis: Listen who is going to keep a list for YOU, if you donāt!! lol
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Dave: Everything has changed lol
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Sam Willis: I USED to sleep so great. I donāt know what changed!
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Sam Willis: Iāll read itttttt. I think I already have it.
[2026-07-22 09:39:00] Dave: What you describe about your brain constantly going⦠that is what GTD is designed to stop
[2026-07-22 10:19:00] Sam Willis: FOUR separate Amazon deliveries this morningā¦.
[2026-07-22 10:19:00] Sam Willis: Not. Efficient. š¤Ŗ
[2026-07-22 11:23:00] Sam Willis: Howās your day going?
[2026-07-22 11:38:00] Dave: Oh you know⦠living the dream
[2026-07-22 11:40:00] Dave: Itās ok. Just had my 1:1 with Eric and it went well. No why arenāt you doing any work⦠so thatās always nice.
[2026-07-22 11:41:00] Dave: How about you? Killing it? In the zone? Running the table? Living the dream? Kickin ass and taking names?
[2026-07-22 12:03:00] Sam Willis: Basically. Currently in a groove. Letās see how long it lasts!
[2026-07-22 12:03:00] Sam Willis: Basically. Currently in a groove. Letās see how long it lasts!
[2026-07-22 13:28:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: So I just got an email a bit ago from my bathroom contractor that I haven't worked with in a while and it's a contract and it's a linked to one and I definitely did not click the link but it'll keep CC me and I'm like well this has to be my mistake or like did he legit get freaking fish? She knows I'm not opening it but still like that must suck and I kinda wanna creep like what's somebody getting ready to do it you know
[2026-07-22 13:28:00] Dave: Definitely hacked
[2026-07-22 13:29:00] Dave: If you were bccād
[2026-07-22 13:30:00] Sam Willis: <no text>
[2026-07-22 13:30:00] Sam Willis: Thatās so sad. I should text him.
[2026-07-22 13:40:00] Sam Willis: What are you up to?
[2026-07-22 13:40:00] Sam Willis: I went to get lunch. Iām about to pee my pants
[2026-07-22 13:40:00] Dave: Whereād you go?
[2026-07-22 13:41:00] Sam Willis: Ooo look at you working away!!
[2026-07-22 13:41:00] Sam Willis: Greek salad place
[2026-07-22 13:41:00] Dave: Iām in a meeting
[2026-07-22 13:42:00] Dave: Meh
[2026-07-22 13:42:00] Sam Willis: FOCUS
[2026-07-22 13:42:00] Dave: Hahaha, right before you txtd I missed something important because I was thinking about you š¤
[2026-07-22 13:42:00] Sam Willis: Awwww
[2026-07-22 13:45:00] Sam Willis: Showing you the Phoenix office
[2026-07-22 14:04:00] Dave: Audio Message.caf Transcription: Hey, thanks for that video. I have actually wondered what the building looks like there so that was perfect. Not enough view in it so maybe not perfect but still appreciate it.
[2026-07-22 14:31:00] Sam Willis: Itās a dump
[2026-07-22 14:48:00] Dave: Whatās wrong with it?
[2026-07-22 14:49:00] Dave: And how was your gross Greek salad?
[2026-07-22 16:05:00] Dave: Hahaha, Gray Kitty got kicked out of her spot
[2026-07-22 16:09:00] Sam Willis: Old and dark
[2026-07-22 16:09:00] Sam Willis: Why do you not like Greek salads?!
[2026-07-22 16:09:00] Sam Willis: Why do you not like Greek salads?!
[2026-07-22 16:09:00] Sam Willis: Old and dark
[2026-07-22 16:10:00] Sam Willis: She didnāt put up a fight, it seems!
[2026-07-22 16:10:00] Dave: He got his fat ass up there while she was gone
[2026-07-22 16:10:00] Dave: I just donāt like Greek in general
[2026-07-22 16:10:00] Dave: I just donāt like Greek in general
[2026-07-22 16:10:00] Sam Willis: She didnāt put up a fight, it seems!
[2026-07-22 16:38:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: I am heading home but Candace sent over the videos of the walk-through which was so much more helpful than like just looking through the photos online so I like so glad that she did that so anyway I emailed the videos to my dad too and I'm like OK watch these and let me know what you think I don't know she said it seems very far from her which then she's like you know cause like if I'm gonna be helping you out with the dogs I'm like girl you ain't helping me out with the dogs what do you mean like there's no way but anyway everything seems far to her as it's a 22 minute drive to work It's like six minutes away from Costco. It's really close to fishers too. It's like 2 1/2 hours away from my parent like this is not far but anyway she is also used to living like in the city so yeah I don't suburbs are just not her thing But I don't know she said that it It does still feel a little bit dark because the only so all you have in the main room is two different doors into the sunroom like all season room and then the front door you know you could open but like there's no window, but you know what I mean so like I don't know I need to add some more light in there or which shouldn't be too hard but like there's not gonna be a window, but there is a gorgeous window like in the room over which is like the breakfast area Also, I think these dumbasses Used to have the room that's the craft room. It used to be a dining room and I'm pretty sure they put up a wall and added a closet into it and it's like if you like could tear that fucking wall down the house would be so much more open. So I don't know maybe I would do that one day so anyway it seems like the upgrades like it seems like it's in really nice shape and it's just a matter if I can like get past kind of the quickness of some of the sections being kind of closed off they also have like this weird fucking Out for a microwave just like totally fucking random so like the kitchen is not something I love but The rest of it like is so I don't know I don't know what to do
[2026-07-22 16:41:00] Dave: So⦠Joy or Depression?
[2026-07-22 16:41:00] Dave: What was Candaceās vibe?
[2026-07-22 16:42:00] Sam Willis: Whatās your email
[2026-07-22 16:42:00] Dave: And I want to see the video!!
[2026-07-22 16:42:00] Sam Willis: I need to email them to you. Theyāre too large to text
[2026-07-22 16:42:00] Sam Willis: She didnāt say yet. She loved areas but then others had quirks.

[2026-07-22 16:45:00] Sam Willis: In order
[2026-07-22 16:45:00] Dave: I aaaaaaam
[2026-07-22 16:45:00] Sam Willis: Just watch the damn videos lol
[2026-07-22 16:46:00] Sam Willis: Is the quality coming through ok. Of the video?
[2026-07-22 16:46:00] Dave: Yeah, itās ok
[2026-07-22 16:47:00] Dave: Sheās quite the little realtor lol
[2026-07-22 16:50:00] Dave: Oh you could totally brighten that main room up with some lights
[2026-07-22 16:51:00] Dave: Lol.. the microwave. I see what they did though. They put a real hood over the stove instead of the microwave, which Iād take any day
[2026-07-22 16:52:00] Dave: Lol... all of your wood working needs
[2026-07-22 17:01:00] Sam Willis: The more I look at it, the more I love it
[2026-07-22 17:03:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: OK, if her biggest complaint is that the main room seem dark I feel like yeah I can definitely just add some more lights in there. I mean literally the only lights that were the two near the fireplace if I recall correctly plus the ceiling fan light so like yeah I feel like there's opportunities on the big ass wall to put in some some more lights. You just messaged me. I'm gonna listen to it.
[2026-07-22 17:03:00] Dave: Audio Message.caf Transcription: Yeah, I actually quite like it. I don't love that big room when you walk in. Just cause I'm kind of done with big open rooms because of the echo of them it's really hard to get rid of that But I think it would still be fine and even other than that, I like it too. I think that looks like a decent place. They upgrades look nice outside. Looks really nice. Yeah, I think it's good
[2026-07-22 17:07:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: And then Yeah, the echo I mean I'm the ceilings are so tall. I do hope that once I add a bunch of furniture and stuff like it would help with that cause I could definitely hear that echo but And then, if her only other complaint is that it seems out there like far Literally 22 minutes away from work that is nothing I drive that now to go to fucking Costco like she just like it's just world. It's just so different from living in Phoenix or you know living in Fort Worth or whatever I'm sure too like it's just I am so as long as I'm close to a grocery store and some shopping like which it is very close to then like that doesn't that I'm not far you know what I mean farting means living out in the country. And you're far away from everything she's just like oh it seems far like from me But also, she's going to be working in fishers, which is right there. I'm on the border of Fisher so anyway. Yeah, I mean there's perks. I would like to get that shit out of that craft room. I don't know what the fuck I'm gonna do with that. What am I gonna do with that room? I don't even know. I honestly don't know and then the built-in that's in the office. Don't love that. I wonder if I can get that taken out or if I could paint it a cool color maybe I could do that I am not a painter but like maybe So I don't know I don't know it just out of all the houses that she's talking about that first house she said that was really open that house was far out like it lake. It was like 35 minutes away from work and like you know, 10 minutes away from a grocery store. So that in the house did not have a sense that I could use is very short fence so that one felt like in the country but it was this beautiful open bright area layout so like we love that but anyway out of all the other house as though this is absolutely the most turnkey like the most I would not really have to Do anything it looks clean too. I love that the neighborhood looks like other than those first two houses. Those are weird. It doesn't look like the neighbors look like they maintain their homes and it doesn't look like a shit hole and I love a fucking cul-de-sac so yeah I don't know and my realtor is like so they're asking 500 like I maybe they could put in an offer for like 485 490 just kinda see what happens but I don't know the more I look at it the more I kinda love it and I think the dogs will be in that All season room like all the fucking time and yeah
[2026-07-22 17:10:00] Dave: Hahaha, yeah āfarā is so subjective
[2026-07-22 17:11:00] Dave: I like the room
[2026-07-22 17:11:00] Dave: DO CRAFTS WITH IT
[2026-07-22 17:12:00] Dave: And what else are you gonna do with it anyway? Put a dining room youāll never use?
[2026-07-22 17:12:00] Dave: Yep, the hood looks great
[2026-07-22 17:12:00] Dave: Yep, culdesac is great
[2026-07-22 17:14:00] Dave: Audio Message.caf Transcription: Yes, I can hear the excitement in your voice and I love it I think I think it's a good possibility Yeah, looks like it checks all the boxes. The dogs would love that room. I'm sure you can make that room. And yeah, you could totally paint that that big gross looking built-in it does look functional though she was right like I like the look of the structure, but the color is just hideous Just paint a white or whatever or same color as the room or something I don't know yeah yeah that's exciting. Just gotta pull the trigger though. We gotta decide if that's what you wanna do see if your dad says to of course sure I'll have some advice.
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Sam Willis: Dad doesnāt like it š
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Dave: Because it isnāt in effingham
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Dave: Awwwe, why not?
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Dave: Thatās true
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Sam Willis: That I can always add a fence in
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Sam Willis: And have to go through HOA approvals
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Sam Willis: He said I shouldnāt restrict myself just bc of a fence
[2026-07-22 17:37:00] Sam Willis: Yea for another $30,000!!
[2026-07-22 17:38:00] Sam Willis: Then Iād have to make a contingent offer on whether the HOA approves the fence
[2026-07-22 17:38:00] Sam Willis: He annoys me at times. Hmph
[2026-07-22 17:39:00] Sam Willis: He sent me soooooo many houses last night. All like new builds. He said I will regret not having an open floor plan
[2026-07-22 17:39:00] Dave: Ehhh⦠idk about that
[2026-07-22 17:40:00] Dave: I mean, you know what you want
[2026-07-22 17:41:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: And I know it sounds ridiculous that I don't want a master bedroom on an upper level Not kidding like Layla and all the dogs are gonna get to a point where they can't go steps anymore. I'm just gonna leave them downstairs at night like no fucking way. Also when I foster puppies, it is a massive fucking pain in the ass to try to get puppies down the fucking stairs in the middle of the night to take them outside. Like everything on the main floor at least the master would be 1000 times easier and he keeps saying over these two-story houses and I'm like cool. That's not what I want. I don't give a fuck if I'm making all my decisions off of my dogs or off of dogs in general that is like my life.

[2026-07-22 21:44:00] Dave: I think because Iāve been working on rocker dock

[2026-07-22 21:45:00] Dave: Any more thoughts on the house??
[2026-07-22 21:45:00] Dave: Are you worried about it selling?
[2026-07-22 21:45:00] Dave: Well, I still need to take a shower so Iām sure itāll set time Iām done
[2026-07-22 21:46:00] Dave: Pissed off?!
[2026-07-22 21:46:00] Sam Willis: I just put in the new dog door. And I went to the grocery store and ate dinner. So I havenāt had time to think about it more.
[2026-07-22 21:46:00] Sam Willis: I dunno. I stopped thinking about it for the night bc I was getting pissed off.
[2026-07-22 21:47:00] Sam Willis: My dad is making me rethink what I want and Iām annoyed. Bc I want to be excited about stuff and then he makes me doubt myself and itās so hard when Iām not physically freaking there. Then he sends me link after link and Iām overwhelmed.
[2026-07-22 21:47:00] Dave: So industrious š
[2026-07-22 21:48:00] Dave: Ahh, I gotcha
[2026-07-22 21:49:00] Dave: Totally get it too. Even though he doesnāt know what you want, I know you still trust him so that has to be a huge conflict for you
[2026-07-22 21:50:00] Dave: I think 1 floor is šÆ the way to go
[2026-07-22 21:50:00] Dave: You have other things that are important to you though
[2026-07-22 21:50:00] Sam Willis: He means well and I know he wants what HE thinks is best. Which is a newer build, open floor plan, blah blah. Like he doesnāt look beyond that.
[2026-07-22 21:50:00] Dave: But I think you should trust your instincts
[2026-07-22 21:51:00] Dave: Things he canāt know about
[2026-07-22 21:51:00] Sam Willis: This is already stressful enough. Why add more like ok now I gotta get HOA approval for a fence, find a contractor, get it done before I move in, etc.
[2026-07-22 21:52:00] Sam Willis: Thanks babe
[2026-07-22 21:52:00] Sam Willis: Anyway. Iām just grumpy bc Iām tired. Ugh
[2026-07-22 21:52:00] Sam Willis: Heās literally JUST looking at the house. Iām looking at the neighborhood, whatās around it, distance to things, how close the houses are, etc. and itās tiring
[2026-07-22 21:52:00] Dave: No, what youāre feeling is real
[2026-07-22 21:53:00] Dave: And it IS good for him to challenge you to some degree. But you also have to trust yourself. Everything youāve said - all your reasonings - are spot on imo.
[2026-07-22 21:54:00] Dave: Yep
[2026-07-22 21:54:00] Sam Willis: A lot of new builds are also built like shit these days too
[2026-07-22 21:54:00] Sam Willis: Heās also acting like this is the first house Iāve looked at. No, this is the 8th.
[2026-07-22 21:55:00] Sam Willis: Just quickly built, bad quality
[2026-07-22 21:56:00] Sam Willis: Thank you
[2026-07-22 21:56:00] Sam Willis: šš
[2026-07-22 21:56:00] Dave: Yeah. The more I think about it, the more this one feels right for you. From what I know about you. For whatever thatās worth
[2026-07-22 21:57:00] Dave: Ofc baby
[2026-07-22 21:58:00] Sam Willis: lol fuck off
[2026-07-22 21:58:00] Dave: Sorry, Iāve been sitting on that joke all day but Iāve also been feeling some ways about it too
[2026-07-22 21:58:00] Dave: I mean⦠thereās plenty of room for you to invite some guy to move in with you in a couple weeks
[2026-07-22 21:59:00] Sam Willis: No one is moving in!!!
[2026-07-22 21:59:00] Dave: It has just made me think about you meeting someone in general š
[2026-07-22 21:59:00] Dave: But I couldnāt let the opportunity lapse
[2026-07-22 22:00:00] Dave: Like, one of those lingering, stomach ache-y thoughts ya know
[2026-07-22 22:01:00] Sam Willis: I understand and get it.
[2026-07-22 22:01:00] Dave: Oh. Shit. I also didnāt want to bring that up and put a downer on the whole new house thing š
[2026-07-22 22:01:00] Sam Willis: We are a long way away from that though
[2026-07-22 22:02:00] Dave: By adding more to your plate - dealing with my emotions

DAY OVERVIEW Tuesday was a rollercoaster ā the morning seemed relaxed but Dave was visibly unhappy, the midday was energetic with plans for the future, and the evening dropped into vulnerability. The most defining moment came when Dave seemed uncertain about the house Sam was considering. Their conversations had a playful and teasing tone throughout, but intimacy and a sense of longing were underlying currents.
TOPIC INVENTORY - Work and Career Dissatisfaction: Dave expressed deep dissatisfaction with his current job, considering it a complete waste of his life. He mentioned looking for other opportunities, as nothing about his job made him want to do it. This frustration set the tone for the morning. - Sleep and Health Issues: They discussed the heat and its impact on their sleep, with Dave mentioning the uncomfortable temperature in his house and Sam taking Aleve for better sleep. Samās health, particularly her stress and sleep patterns, was a recurring topic, highlighting her ongoing battle with sleep issues and the need for a more restful routine. - House Search and Concerns: Sam shared her experiences with potential houses, focusing on one in particular that seemed like a good fit despite some concerns about its layout and her father's skepticism. The discussion about the house had an emotional undercurrent, as Dave expressed his feelings of being replaced or left behind. - Future Plans and Dreams: Dave shared his aspirations to work on something more fulfilling, like a drone operator or a data center commissioning agent, but cited financial constraints. Sam encouraged him to pursue his passions, even if they didn't offer high pay. - Relationship Dynamics and Emotional Support: Throughout the day, they provided each other emotional support, discussing Daveās feelings of being replaced and Samās frustrations with her fatherās advice. They also talked about the potential for a more independent life for Sam, including the possibility of someone moving in with her, which caused some emotional tension.
SEXUAL & PHYSICAL CONTENT None.
EMOTIONAL DYNAMICS Dave began the day in a low mood, expressing frustration with his job and longing for something more fulfilling. Sam, on the other hand, was in a better mood, providing emotional support and encouragement for Dave's dreams. The dynamic shifted towards the evening, as they discussed the house and Dave's feelings of vulnerability. There was a sense of longing and a subtle reference to the possibility of someone moving in with Sam, which highlighted the emotional undercurrents of their relationship. The day ended on a tender note, with both acknowledging their feelings and the challenges they might face.
MEMORABLE LANGUAGE - "There's just nothing about my job that makes me wanna do it" ā Dave, expressing his deep dissatisfaction with his current position. - "I see you tinkering, but not like you're a mechanic" ā Sam, imagining Dave in a job that combines office work and hands-on equipment. - "Because itās a different medicine. You currently take ibuprofen right?" ā Dave, advising Sam to try Aleve for better sleep. - "I love how industrious you are getting all these things done" ā Dave, complementing Sam on her productivity. - "I think theyāve grown too big for their britches and they are NOT that optimized anymore" ā Sam, criticizing Amazon's logistics. - "They just continue cutting benefits from us and it just keeps getting worse and worse" ā Sam, discussing the challenges of corporate jobs. - "You need to go see your mom" ā Sam, reminding Dave of a personal responsibility, reflecting their supportive dynamic.
CONTINUITY HOOKS - The search for a new house for Sam remains unresolved, with the potential for further discussions on its suitability and the challenges posed by her father's advice. - Dave's career aspirations and the financial constraints he faces are left open, hinting at future conversations about his career choices and the pursuit of a more fulfilling job. - The emotional thread of Dave feeling vulnerable and the possibility of someone moving in with Sam is left open, suggesting deeper conversations about their relationship and future plans.
