[2026-07-20 08:24:00] Dave: Audio Message.caf Transcription: Good morning sunshine I can only imagine how good it must've felt to get back in your bed. Actually, I can easily imagine that because I felt the same way when I got back. Thursday or Wednesday whatever day it was So yeah, I'm glad you made it home safe. I hope you slept really well. You deserve it and you need it now that you're you're older. Yeah, so I'm just working from home today Not feeling it big shocker there I'm sure you have even more shit to catch up with than I do But here we are doing the things There's something else I was gonna tell you Dammit It was one of those things that I was like oh, I'll talk about that tomorrow but now I don't remember what it was I slept well And still did not want to get up This morning But Today's the day for no more drinking Eating better Have any pretty decently last few weeks but I did have some Oreos this weekend But yeah, so today definitely cutting out the drinking and Maybe even Trying to re-invigorate my gym routine It's been a couple weeks since I've worked out I don't know how I kind of fell off that but I gotta get my shit back together I cannot wait to hear your voice I get to check in today and it'll be nice to catch up on everything. I feel like I haven't really talked to you much since we've both been traveling and stuff. So excited to hear about your house hunting I'm sure that was Fun and busy hectic, but I'm glad you got to see Oh God, what's her name Candace? Hang out with her twice while you're gone that's awesome But also good to have a friend with you in case you got into like a realtor murder situation cause you know those happened sometimes so you gotta be careful with that. Don't want you end up on some podcast. Talking about how you were raped and murdered I'll talk to you soon bye
[2026-07-20 08:41:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: Hello good morning I did not sleep well shocker and I don't have my full voice so that's fun You know how needy my cats are when especially when the dogs are gone yeah dude they all insisted when they were losing their shit if I try to shut them out of my room so I had to sleep with the door open, which is fine cause I slept with my eye mask on, so I like the light didn't bother me, but Simba's random meows and then Nala has to cuddle, but she has to cuddle in such a specific way so she will like take five different tries to cuddle with you until she finds like a good spot that she can actually lay down on So anyway I was up a lot It is what it is so I'm working from home today too. I got home last night closer to nine and so it was dark out so I didn't see anything this morning I get up and I go to feed the cats and I look outside in the backyard and the lawn is just flooded with water and I'm like oh my God is it raining like did it pour? No, it did not rain at all some fucking dumbass which as far as I know my beehive, which is my smart irrigation system like you can just open up the box outside and like program whatever you want So my landscaper is obviously have access to it why they would need to change the programming is beyond me, but dude I looked my fucking lawn has been watering like five fucking times a day while I've been gone And the only thing I can think of is that the landscapers came last Wednesday and they did a bunch of like weed killing in the lawn And I don't know if they felt like they needed a fucking extra water, but these motherfuckers the lawn is completely flooded Which is just a fucking waste, but whatever worse things could happen. I was worried that my whole fucking irrigation system blew again, but it doesn't look like it. Thank God just a bunch of fucking idiots or I don't know. I gotta figure out if way I can put a password on it. Whatever I'm over it. Also I have just been my mind. It's just racing thinking about moving. And the dogs and like what would be best for them I keep worrying about the fence situation and I'm like if I'm working for Schwab and I'm not working at home like even if I am working from home I really have to have a fence that I know that they can't jump over And so many houses just have a fucking little you know Iron fence that's like you know the rods that's not a privacy fence and it's short and now I've just been laying awake thinking like yeah there's like no way I can do that. I'm gonna have to like. Either somehow put one in quickly or like find a house already that has one and so I found a house. I gotta look at it some more it's super cheap because it's not like I would need to replace the carpet right off the bat and paint which is fine paint is expected, but If the backyard is good in the neighborhood is good. I'm thinking I'm just like going for it. I don't know. The house is older though it was built in like 98 or maybe 2000 maybe 2009 I don't know. My mind is racing about this shit shocker and then I'm like oh God I have an interview this morning. I'm not even thinking about that so then I might start racing about the fucking interview interview and I'm just honestly I'll be in a better mood at 8:30 when the interview interview thing is done so then I can just like I don't know. Focus on all my other shit Anyway, OK you just heard me for five minutes fucking bitch about my life. Sorry yes it was great to see. I'm very grateful for her for coming with me too. I hadn't thought about the murder situation. Thanks for that. She's even offered to meet out with my realtor Like one like separately to FaceTime me Sorry, I'm putting on make up. I don't know if you can hear me but so that's good. I'm glad you're working from home today. Hopefully, you can ease back into work. And good luck eating well and no more drinking You can do it So are you thinking of working out like during the work week now or what are you thinking? This other bad idea but I obviously I haven't worked out since last Sunday so I need to work out at my parents but then it's just too fucking chaotic. Also, have I told you that I really hate basements does your house have a way, I don't feel like it does but like I just really don't want a basement they really creep me out and this is coming up because that's where my parents workout room is. It's all downstairs in the basement and I don't give a fuck if it's a finished basement or not. Basements are where the killers hide And nasty ass bugs I don't know anyway Yeah, we're gonna check in later That would be good I feel like I just have a lot on my mind and it's not gonna go away anytime soon so I just need to reframe but OK bye
[2026-07-20 09:04:00] Dave: Audio Message.caf Transcription: Yes, basements are definitely where the killers died. No, no houses in Texas really have basements because the land here. Not conducive to anything deeper than like on TV cause it's just all rock Yeah, you do sound like you have a lot on your mind so that's a bummer but I mean knows I guess such as normal free Yeah, a lot going on though for real maybe we can talk through some of that today And that'll be helpful You have the dog situation with the fence is definitely something to Think about And then of course The flooded along with the heck is that how does it even flood? It's like so dry there you would think that it would like. Soak up all the water and I don't know Yeah Work not feeling it suppress surprise I'm so fucking bored and sick of this job So you have the interview I assume you're gonna stop applying for things now that you've got a confirmation of Confirmation of being able to move to Indy Stay with Schwab So that's pretty great How many is the last place that you're still kind of talking to or do you have other ones still in the works? Hopefully it goes well. If not, I mean you could always just go into this interview like fuck it and just be totally chill and not have to worry too much about it cause you know you got the Indy thing going on. Yeah, that's nice Yeah, what else? There was some other stuff I don't know. I guess not Yeah, I'm still working on getting up and getting back into the swing of things So good luck on your interview and I cannot wait to talk to you later
[2026-07-20 09:29:00] Dave: Oh yeah… I really should start working out during the week. Sat and Sun just isn’t enough.
[2026-07-20 09:29:00] Dave: But also: ugh
[2026-07-20 10:41:00] Sam Willis: Didn’t feel fabulous about the interview. Second one was good. First one was chief of technology strategy. Not super personable
[2026-07-20 10:41:00] Dave: Did you do your interview??
[2026-07-20 10:42:00] Dave: I’m sure you did better than you think
[2026-07-20 10:43:00] Sam Willis: The second one she barely asked me any questions and I kind of feel like it was because the first guy pinged her and was like nope.
[2026-07-20 10:44:00] Dave: People love you
[2026-07-20 10:44:00] Dave: I mean, I guess that could be… but I doubt it 😊
[2026-07-20 10:44:00] Sam Willis: I think they want ppl with more experience.
[2026-07-20 10:45:00] Sam Willis: Like do ppl not realize that im a fast learner? Idiots

[2026-07-20 10:55:00] Sam Willis: This one in particular.
[2026-07-20 10:56:00] Dave: Yeah, that’s pretty normal. Back to work after a week of fun family time…
[2026-07-20 10:56:00] Sam Willis: Hmph. I’m so grumpy
[2026-07-20 10:56:00] Sam Willis: Ok ok. Time to focus. And chill.
[2026-07-20 10:57:00] Dave: I haven’t been able to focus yet 😅
[2026-07-20 10:57:00] Dave: Ugh, it still sucks though
[2026-07-20 10:58:00] Sam Willis: I just feel so overstimulated and anxious. Like I want to crawl out of my skin.
[2026-07-20 11:05:00] Dave: I’m sorry sweetiepie ❤️
[2026-07-20 11:24:00] Sam Willis: Thanks for listening to me bitch and moan. I just need to nap today.
[2026-07-20 11:25:00] Dave: Hehehe

[2026-07-20 12:34:00] Dave: And kinda blah
[2026-07-20 12:34:00] Sam Willis: What’s going on?
[2026-07-20 12:35:00] Dave: Nothing really. I guess just post-pto blues 🤷♂️
[2026-07-20 12:36:00] Sam Willis: How’s the weather?
[2026-07-20 12:36:00] Dave: Lol
[2026-07-20 12:36:00] Sam Willis: 😔
[2026-07-20 12:37:00] Dave: Heat advisory 🙄
[2026-07-20 12:37:00] Dave: But it’s cold af in here
[2026-07-20 12:44:00] Dave: How about you? Still grumpy?
[2026-07-20 12:44:00] Dave: The upstairs thermostat is in Emerson’s room, which is the hottest room in the house. So basically no matter what temperature it’s set to, it’s ALWAYS running. Which means cold air constantly pouring into the rest of the house.
[2026-07-20 12:46:00] Sam Willis: It helps that I don’t have a million meetings today
[2026-07-20 12:46:00] Dave: Oh wow! That’s unusual lol
[2026-07-20 12:46:00] Sam Willis: I’m getting better. Ish. lol
[2026-07-20 12:47:00] Sam Willis: Right? And thank Christ
[2026-07-20 13:10:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: I can't stop looking at houses and it's really exhausting and honestly not that fun and I just kind of over it but so there's some things that I'm like noticing that are interesting like I don't know Phoenix isn't like this and I don't remember St. Louis being like this well first off Indy is the fucking Roundabout like capital of the fucking world dude they're roundabouts everywhere. I'm almost positive roundabouts were like invented and Indianapolis. They're roundabouts everywhere so that's fun but also I'm realizing. Like all these houses have lofts upstairs, which is just funny like I'd like it's just the thing like it's a very Indianapolis thing as a loft upstairs. It's like I don't. I don't need this extra space OK and then a lot of houses have their washer and dryer upstairs like if their bedrooms are all upstairs which. Like in theory is nice because then you know the clothes can be put away in the area where the clothes actually go but like oh God transporting the freaking washer and dryers upstairs. That sounds like suck. So there's that and then got so many of these freaking houses with the freaking fences it's like can't we just actually put in a privacy fence there's nobody want privacy. They all have these freaking little iron fences. Little nothingness and it's like what is the point but anyway I'm also just really torn. Like do I want to get a house that's cheap cheaper so I but I can like cheaper with the you know mature trees great backyard great fence and I can then just update the inside how I want or do I want something more just turn key And I'm just really torn. I don't know because the other consideration but this is that if I get something 500 or less, I won't have to put a contingent offer on. I can just take the down payment out of my brokerage account. I would really like to not have to do a contingent offer because like as a seller like nobody wants to freaking accept the contingent offer that like my house sells too. And so I really just wanna have something 500 or less and so it's really hit and miss like how turnkey it is so I'm just really torn dude I can't stop like just I just keep logging and it's exhausting
[2026-07-20 13:17:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: Oh the other thing that Indy has is ponds everywhere which I love, but it's like Has so many ponds and there's a lot of cul-de-sac which I also love and then there's a lot of places that have community pools in their little HOA area, which I am totally down for so anyway It's just kind of cute
[2026-07-20 13:27:00] Dave: Audio Message.caf Transcription: Yeah, that is the million dollar cushion Whether you want to move in or do you want something Turkey or Something that you can do some work too the way that you want I personally now that I've done both definitely Would go with a mature tree is a mature neighborhood and then Get in and take the house that needs some work or whatever That has been my biggest kind of wish. I would've done here instead of buying like in this fucking neighborhood. Also, the community pool thing don't put a lot of weight on that Cause I did and it has turned out to not really be worth it I have we haven't used the pool in years for one and it's always like Just full of fucking unsupervised kids being crazy and it's annoying But Owen roundabouts are fantastic. I'm much prefer those over stoplight intersections. We have a lot of around here too. And they are just they're great
[2026-07-20 13:36:00] Sam Willis: Oh and new paint
[2026-07-20 13:36:00] Sam Willis: Transcription: Yeah, OK so I'm gonna send you this listing it's cheap and it looks like it's you know in a mature neighborhood. I think the house is built in like 22,005 or something I can't recall anyway. As soon as you walk in the front door, you could see that there's like cut out room that's probably like would be in office the flooring on it is fucking stupid. It's still like weird ass fucking tile. I have no idea why they didn't redo that floor when they redid the rest of the fucking bottom floor, I have no idea so like that pouring would need to be changed. I would need to put probably change all the carpet in the upstairs. And the kitchen is pretty small but like it's just me so you know so it's like So like this is what I'm talking about do I get this house that's cheap I can put an offer on. It has a great privacy fence does not have any fucking trees that why are there no fucking trees but I could plant some trees, but Or do I wait for something that's more expensive I'll send you the link

[2026-07-20 13:37:00] Sam Willis: Oh and the bathrooms are mid
[2026-07-20 13:39:00] Dave: Nice big yard and fence!
[2026-07-20 13:40:00] Sam Willis: Zhush up the curb appeal a bit. New paint. Slowly make remodels. 🤷♀️
[2026-07-20 13:40:00] Dave: Yeah the floor in that one room is weird. But also, you don’t HAVE to do anything… Put a rug down lol.
[2026-07-20 13:40:00] Sam Willis: Maybe I could even lower the offer price too
[2026-07-20 13:41:00] Sam Willis: Why is that damn kitchen so small. Ugh
[2026-07-20 13:41:00] Dave: You could always put a bigger island in there make up a lot of spa e
[2026-07-20 13:42:00] Sam Willis: True!
[2026-07-20 13:42:00] Sam Willis: I like the butcher block type island but yea could easily double the size
[2026-07-20 13:44:00] Sam Willis: And look! Cul de sac!
[2026-07-20 13:44:00] Dave: And I find it hilarious that we consider almost HALF A MILLION DOLLAR houses “cheap” lmao
[2026-07-20 13:45:00] Sam Willis: Omg right?! Anything in the 400s, I’m like ok something is clearly wrong with this house 😅
[2026-07-20 13:45:00] Sam Willis: Omg right?! Anything in the 400s, I’m like ok something is clearly wrong with this house 😅
[2026-07-20 13:45:00] Dave: I was actually JUST wondering curve in the sidewalk
[2026-07-20 13:45:00] Dave: I was actually JUST wondering curve in the sidewalk

[2026-07-20 14:24:00] Dave: What time do you want to check in?
[2026-07-20 14:25:00] Dave: We can put it off till tomorrow if your head hurts too bad or you need a nap
[2026-07-20 14:25:00] Sam Willis: I need to nap first for sure. Maybe around 530 today (your time) unless that’s too late for you? I have stupid meetings this afternoon until 230 then hopefully I can sleep for an hour.
[2026-07-20 14:26:00] Dave: Hmmm… Yeah that’s a little late 🙁
[2026-07-20 14:27:00] Dave: That’s ok. We can do tomorrow!
[2026-07-20 14:27:00] Sam Willis: I’m sorry baby.
[2026-07-20 14:27:00] Sam Willis: I can do 430 your time; I’m just going to be grumpy and not enjoyable to be honest
[2026-07-20 14:27:00] Sam Willis: Or tomorrow, I’m done with meetings at 4 your time

[2026-07-20 14:29:00] Sam Willis: Did it bring joy? lol
[2026-07-20 14:29:00] Dave: Yeah, at like 10:00 🤭
[2026-07-20 14:30:00] Dave: Yes, actually. It was the most joyful thing of the day so far.
[2026-07-20 14:30:00] Dave: Well, except for interactions with you ofc
[2026-07-20 14:31:00] Sam Willis: It’s ok dear. You can admit there are definitely more joyful parts of your day than texting me lol
