I'm gonna fuck you when I see you and I thought about you riding my dick on the couch and all these things that he said. It's pretty great But I'm on my way to the gym now I feel pretty good surprisingly Sleep that much, but I feel pretty ready to go work out So that's cool What else there's something else that I wanted to say to tell you about something? All those things were thinking about it and I was like oh yeah, I'll tell him that And of course I got Dammit I don't know Guess it wasn't that important so you got graduation and then you're staying at your sister's house right now last night Then you got graduation this morning and then flying all or driving all the way back to Effingham, which is how far Then tomorrow going back to the grocery store The fuck at the grocery store Having a stroke, can't even do words So Driving home today back to Effingham and then back to the airport so I was looking for a grocery store tomorrow Remind me what time you fly home To hold your touch and touch your hair You know what I saw Well I'm gonna go to the gym Then it's not gonna stop it's gonna be all right I might even go for a run when I get home That Do something I'm so fucking fat you're gonna be disgusted when you see me about who is a couple You're not gonna shirt off you're gonna be like I saw myself outside in the sunlight yesterday I was like oh God this is a fucking disaster. [2026-05-16 07:40:00] Sam Willis: Right? I’m using an umbrella! 🤯
[2026-05-16 07:40:00] Sam Willis: Who the fuck in Phoenix needs an umbrella
[2026-05-16 07:40:00] Sam Willis: This reminds me of when I first started working at Schwab and they gave me like welcome schwag and one was a fucking Schwab branded umbrella
[2026-05-16 08:06:00] Sam Willis: Like thousands of ppl
[2026-05-16 08:06:00] Sam Willis: Dude it’s packed
[2026-05-16 08:11:00] Dave: Well… just try to think about riding my dick because that’s all I can think about as I lay here in bed naked, hard af cooling off from my (STUPID STUPID HATE HATE HATE) run.
[2026-05-16 08:12:00] Dave: After showering, ofc. I don’t get in bed all gross and sweaty 🙂‍↔️

[2026-05-16 08:22:00] Sam Willis: We are having a time
[2026-05-16 08:22:00] Sam Willis: Merran. The graduate. Literally got here at the same time as us. She was supposed to be here at 730. We got here at 810.
[2026-05-16 08:23:00] Sam Willis: She then informed us she never even filled out any paperwork for graduation so like she might not even walk lmao who knows.
[2026-05-16 08:24:00] Sam Willis: We had to leave our purses in the car bc we didn’t realize it was a clear bag policy so that stresses me out.
[2026-05-16 08:24:00] Sam Willis: Other graduates have their names and pics showing on the projector. She’s got nothing.
[2026-05-16 08:43:00] Dave: Jesus
[2026-05-16 08:44:00] Dave: What kind of graduation is this?

[2026-05-16 09:06:00] Sam Willis: Bachelor of Health Sciences at Mizzou
[2026-05-16 09:07:00] Sam Willis: She was too cheap to buy her own cap and gown so she’s using Merrik’s. He graduated in 2025 so she has the wrong year on her tassle 😂😂
[2026-05-16 09:11:00] Dave: Who is this person to you?
[2026-05-16 09:11:00] Sam Willis: Niece

[2026-05-16 09:19:00] Dave: Lmao
[2026-05-16 09:19:00] Sam Willis: Oh for sure
[2026-05-16 09:19:00] Sam Willis: About makes you want to smoke a cigarette 😂
[2026-05-16 09:20:00] Dave: Not even joking, I was thinking about how nice it would be to go get a vape
[2026-05-16 09:22:00] Sam Willis: Don’t do it!!!

[2026-05-16 10:16:00] Dave: Are you staying there for a little while?
[2026-05-16 10:19:00] Sam Willis: Just now leaving the campus. My dad (ex police) is very upset about how poorly the police are directing traffic here
[2026-05-16 10:20:00] Sam Willis: Going to Amy’s now. Staying for a few hours. Amy’s boyfriend stayed home and is making us all brunch. I’M SO SO SO EXCITED
[2026-05-16 10:20:00] Sam Willis: He’s critiquing their every move lol
[2026-05-16 10:23:00] Dave: Awesome!
[2026-05-16 10:23:00] Dave: That’s hilarious about your dad being judgy
[2026-05-16 10:24:00] Sam Willis: then heading back the 4 hrs to Effingham at some point today
[2026-05-16 10:29:00] Sam Willis: Update: dad is still very very pissed about the traffic control here.
[2026-05-16 10:30:00] Sam Willis: And now I’m getting pissed too lol
[2026-05-16 10:31:00] Sam Willis: Man this stuff is like the worst. Trying to leave a place with thousands of other people
[2026-05-16 10:33:00] Dave: That’s the number one thing that keeps me from going to large event. That, and all the people also at the event.
[2026-05-16 11:05:00] Sam Willis: Joe has colon cancer!! 😭😭
[2026-05-16 11:06:00] Sam Willis: It’s spread to his liver. He starts chemo now
[2026-05-16 11:07:00] Dave: I’m so sorry to hear that!
[2026-05-16 11:07:00] Dave: Oh noo
[2026-05-16 11:08:00] Dave: I’ve been thinking about him
[2026-05-16 11:08:00] Sam Willis: It’s stage 3 or 4. I’m so fucking worried 😭
[2026-05-16 11:09:00] Dave: That’s just awful 😢
[2026-05-16 11:09:00] Dave: Fuck
[2026-05-16 11:10:00] Dave: Do you know how he found out? And when?
[2026-05-16 11:10:00] Dave: Did he get sick and then figure out what it was
[2026-05-16 12:35:00] Sam Willis: He was having symptoms of something (don’t know what). They kept telling him it was IBS. Then he finally got a colonoscopy last Monday and found it.

[2026-05-16 12:35:00] Sam Willis: I am absolutely tapped out. I just want to go to bed.
[2026-05-16 12:35:00] Sam Willis: We haven’t left Amy’s yet.
[2026-05-16 12:40:00] Dave: I bet!
[2026-05-16 12:40:00] Dave: I bet!
[2026-05-16 12:41:00] Dave: You’re gonna sleep like a mfer on the ride home lol
[2026-05-16 12:41:00] Dave: Ugh. That fucking sucks. And it comes out of nowhere
[2026-05-16 12:41:00] Dave: You’re gonna sleep like a mfer on the ride home lol
[2026-05-16 12:41:00] Dave: Ugh. That fucking sucks. And it comes out of nowhere
[2026-05-16 12:42:00] Dave: I’m just leaving Home Depot where I got a power strip for the printers and a trashcan… and some peanut butter cups
[2026-05-16 12:46:00] Sam Willis: Yummm
[2026-05-16 12:48:00] Sam Willis: I’m sad and stressed and blue 😔
[2026-05-16 12:48:00] Sam Willis: We just left Amy’s. Get home around 4. Then I’m going to bed.
[2026-05-16 12:51:00] Dave: I guess you can’t really talk then 😕
[2026-05-16 12:51:00] Dave: I guess you can’t really talk then 😕
[2026-05-16 12:52:00] Sam Willis: I can talk when I get home. Are you ok?
[2026-05-16 12:53:00] Dave: Oh yeah, I’m fine. I meant for you to have someone to talk to
[2026-05-16 12:54:00] Dave: That news about Joe is a lot
[2026-05-16 12:55:00] Sam Willis: I’ll be ok. I just want to sleep and be in the quiet honestly. It’s been go go go all day and yesterday. A lot of people and family time and like no time to myself except for tossing and turning in bed last night.
[2026-05-16 12:55:00] Dave: Yeah just all the people-ing is so draining
[2026-05-16 12:55:00] Dave: Anything from Christian?
[2026-05-16 12:57:00] Sam Willis: He’s with Quinn at the house packing up
[2026-05-16 12:58:00] Sam Willis: He went out last night. Dunno to where but he was gone until like midnight. I told him about Joe. That’s all its been really
[2026-05-16 13:00:00] Sam Willis: I haven’t decided yet if I’m going to take Monday off or just work from home
[2026-05-16 13:00:00] Sam Willis: I’m so ready
[2026-05-16 13:00:00] Dave: I bet you’re ready to get back to your house and your babies!
[2026-05-16 13:01:00] Dave: I say take it off
[2026-05-16 13:02:00] Sam Willis: You’re not wrong. I’m just running out of vacation days 😭
[2026-05-16 13:02:00] Dave: I always say take the first day back from traveling anywhere off lol
[2026-05-16 13:02:00] Dave: You need to recoup
[2026-05-16 13:05:00] Dave: 😜
[2026-05-16 13:05:00] Dave: Yeah you need to save some for me!!
[2026-05-16 13:06:00] Sam Willis: I’m trying!
[2026-05-16 13:07:00] Sam Willis: This time in June will probably be the last I can do for the year 😭 depending on new job and all that
[2026-05-16 13:07:00] Dave: Yeah for sure
[2026-05-16 13:08:00] Dave: Ok… let’s not think about right now 😅
[2026-05-16 13:08:00] Sam Willis: OK well that’s depressing
[2026-05-16 13:08:00] Sam Willis: 😔
[2026-05-16 13:08:00] Sam Willis: Fair lol
[2026-05-16 13:09:00] Dave: I’m here for it 🫂
[2026-05-16 13:09:00] Dave: Don’t be sorry baby
[2026-05-16 13:09:00] Sam Willis: I’m sorry I’m in a terrible mood. I’ll be better after a nap
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Dave: You aren’t a drag
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Sam Willis: It’s such a good hug
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Sam Willis: 🫂
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Dave: See? I even used the dumb hug emoji so you know I’m serious
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Dave: Emotions are part of you
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Sam Willis: I’m a drag. But I hope you’re having a good, chill day!
[2026-05-16 13:10:00] Sam Willis: Both arms
[2026-05-16 13:11:00] Dave: And that’s fine and normal
[2026-05-16 13:11:00] Dave: It doesn’t bother me a bit
[2026-05-16 13:12:00] Sam Willis: So when you’re visiting me. What if I’m really tired and grumpy and need a nap, but you’re not tired?
[2026-05-16 13:12:00] Sam Willis: Emotions are one thing. It’s the constant complaining I do lol. But you are the best ❤️
[2026-05-16 13:13:00] Dave: Uh.. you’ll need a place to nap on 🤷‍♂️
[2026-05-16 13:14:00] Dave: It isn’t constant complaining. You’re expressing how you feel. At least that’s what I hear
[2026-05-16 13:14:00] Dave: It isn’t constant complaining. You’re expressing how you feel. At least that’s what I hear
[2026-05-16 13:15:00] Dave: I’m aight
[2026-05-16 13:15:00] Sam Willis: You’re the best
[2026-05-16 13:16:00] Dave: 🥰
[2026-05-16 13:16:00] Dave: And prettiest
[2026-05-16 13:16:00] Sam Willis: <no text>
[2026-05-16 13:16:00] Dave: You’re the best
[2026-05-16 13:16:00] Sam Willis: You’re perfect for meeeeee
[2026-05-16 13:45:00] Sam Willis: What if…no matter where I move…I’m still a miserable person
[2026-05-16 13:45:00] Sam Willis: 😩
[2026-05-16 13:48:00] Dave: It’s still possible that you won’t be happy. You aren’t a miserable person in general though. So let’s try to avoid using that term. That’s internalizing and self-reinforcing the idea that you’re just destined to be miserable, and that isn’t true.
[2026-05-16 13:51:00] Dave: Sorry, ik that’s not like, reassuring 😅
[2026-05-16 13:51:00] Dave: I know you have moved around and stuff, but I do want to caution you that no matter how much you think you want to move, and how happy you are with your new location, there will be things you miss about Phoenix - maybe not the area, or maybe not even specific things - but the change itself is more traumatic than people give it credit for. Love or hate Phoenix, you’ve spent a lot of time there and grown a lot as a person in that time. You will feel a loss. Ofc that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t move! But I think calling it now will help you be prepared for it. Which will make your transition easier.
[2026-05-16 13:52:00] Sam Willis: Bc I hadn’t really thought about that
[2026-05-16 13:52:00] Dave: But it’s what came to mind
[2026-05-16 13:52:00] Sam Willis: But maybe! Possibly!
[2026-05-16 13:52:00] Sam Willis: I did definitely grow a lot there
[2026-05-16 13:52:00] Sam Willis: I dunno that I will 😅
[2026-05-16 13:52:00] Sam Willis: Hmmm that’s interesting you bring that up
[2026-05-16 13:53:00] Sam Willis: St. Louis was right before Phoenix
[2026-05-16 13:53:00] Dave: Stl was a long time ago
[2026-05-16 13:53:00] Dave: Like it or not, you’ve been there for YEARS
[2026-05-16 13:53:00] Sam Willis: But Dave, it’s Satans asshole
[2026-05-16 13:53:00] Dave: It’s what you know and are used to
[2026-05-16 13:53:00] Sam Willis: I don’t recall missing St. Louis all that much
[2026-05-16 13:54:00] Dave: And how long have you been in Phoenix?
[2026-05-16 13:54:00] Dave: Because I can tell you with confidence: the older you get, the more meaningful each year becomes to your development as a person.
[2026-05-16 13:55:00] Dave: So 5 years in STL, does not equal 5 years in Phoenix
[2026-05-16 13:55:00] Dave: The latter hold more weight than the former.
[2026-05-16 13:56:00] Dave: This all speaking from my retrospective experience of moving from NE
[2026-05-16 13:57:00] Dave: So pretty much all of your 30s
[2026-05-16 13:57:00] Sam Willis: Almost 8 yrs
[2026-05-16 13:57:00] Sam Willis: Almost 8 yrs
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Dave: Yeah
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Sam Willis: I understand and makes sense
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Sam Willis: And you like…built a whole family there
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Sam Willis: It was a lot longer than 8 yrs wasn’t it?
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Sam Willis: All ive had are breakups!
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Sam Willis: But how long did you spend in NE?
[2026-05-16 13:58:00] Sam Willis: And a death!!
[2026-05-16 13:59:00] Dave: It’s emotional experience
[2026-05-16 13:59:00] Dave: So about 10 years
[2026-05-16 13:59:00] Dave: It’s emotional experience
[2026-05-16 13:59:00] Dave: I count from 2008 because that’s when I bought the house and got out of the moister military
[2026-05-16 13:59:00] Sam Willis: <no text>
[2026-05-16 14:00:00] Dave: Remember, I’m not saying you’re going to miss the billion degree cloudless weather. But you are bound to that your experiences there.
[2026-05-16 14:00:00] Sam Willis: We will see. Right now my mind is: Will I miss it and some of the people? Sure. But it’s never been “home”
[2026-05-16 14:00:00] Sam Willis: I am low key loving your passion on this topic btw ☺️
[2026-05-16 14:01:00] Sam Willis: In my mind, all my core memories. All my nostalgia. Is from Bucky and before.
[2026-05-16 14:01:00] Dave: I’m very passionate about this.
[2026-05-16 14:02:00] Dave: It’s a much bigger deal than anyone gives it credit for and I’ve verified it with sooo many other people over the last few years. Very similar experiences with the unexpected nature of the feelings
[2026-05-16 14:02:00] Sam Willis: So the 11 years post divorce so far-no real nostalgia there…yet
[2026-05-16 14:03:00] Dave: Because it’s still your recent past.
[2026-05-16 14:03:00] Dave: It most certainly will be! And I’m glad you made that point because THIS is it
[2026-05-16 14:03:00] Sam Willis: 11 yrs!!
[2026-05-16 14:03:00] Dave: In a couple of years, Phoenix is going to be your nostalgia range
[2026-05-16 14:04:00] Dave: Also… Bucky 😒
[2026-05-16 14:04:00] Dave: 😋
[2026-05-16 14:05:00] Sam Willis: Or hell, even when I turn 40
[2026-05-16 14:05:00] Dave: But maybe not
[2026-05-16 14:05:00] Dave: I think you’ll be surprised with how spot on I am 😌
[2026-05-16 14:05:00] Sam Willis: I want us to remember this convo and revisit how I feel in like…4 yrs lol
[2026-05-16 14:06:00] Sam Willis: Unfortunate, but true 🙄
[2026-05-16 14:06:00] Sam Willis: I personally hope you’re wrong lol
[2026-05-16 14:06:00] Sam Willis: Unfortunate, but true 🙄
[2026-05-16 14:06:00] Sam Willis: I personally hope you’re wrong lol
[2026-05-16 14:06:00] Dave: Maybe the move is just what you need
[2026-05-16 14:07:00] Sam Willis: Oh I DEFINITELY need to move at some point
[2026-05-16 14:07:00] Sam Willis: Oh I DEFINITELY need to move at some point
[2026-05-16 14:08:00] Dave: Just 1 kid then
[2026-05-16 14:08:00] Dave: Hehehe
[2026-05-16 14:08:00] Dave: Sorry, I couldn’t help myself
[2026-05-16 14:08:00] Sam Willis: Stfu
[2026-05-16 14:08:00] Dave: Who knows
[2026-05-16 14:08:00] Dave: Maybe you move back, remarry Bucky, have a couple kids, and never regret a thing 🤷‍♂️
[2026-05-16 14:09:00] Sam Willis: That’s 1.
[2026-05-16 14:09:00] Sam Willis: 😑
[2026-05-16 14:09:00] Sam Willis: I’m never having a kid
[2026-05-16 14:09:00] Dave: 😘
[2026-05-16 14:10:00] Sam Willis: And 2. Bucky and I will reunite when one of us is on our death beds and still be blaming the other for the divorce 🙄 that’s likely how/when there will be any finality to all that. Death. lol
[2026-05-16 14:11:00] Sam Willis: Maybe I’ll move and in 5 yrs you’ll move to be with me
[2026-05-16 14:11:00] Sam Willis: Yes you could. Hmph.
[2026-05-16 14:11:00] Sam Willis: Yes you could. Hmph.
[2026-05-16 14:12:00] Sam Willis: There’s a higher chance of that happening than me getting back with Bucky and having kids lol
[2026-05-16 14:12:00] Sam Willis: I do really want this though….🥺
[2026-05-16 14:12:00] Sam Willis: I do really want this though….🥺
[2026-05-16 14:13:00] Sam Willis: I KNOW!!!!
[2026-05-16 14:13:00] Dave: God… it feels so like we’re meant to be together
[2026-05-16 14:14:00] Sam Willis: And I don’t even want to believe in that whole “meant to be” shit anymore in life bc it’s annoying, but on the other hand, I’m like so confident that you and I would be amazing together.
[2026-05-16 14:15:00] Dave: I feel exactly the same way.
[2026-05-16 14:18:00] Dave: And I’m trying really hard to not be that stereotypical married guy that’s like oh yeah baby, I’m leaving her tomorrow… and never does. So I try to be careful with what I say. It seems so impossible to untangle our lives at this point. But on the other hand… I really really do want to be with you 😭.
[2026-05-16 14:20:00] Dave: And why should I live the rest of my life unhappy because of a decision I made when I was a child
[2026-05-16 14:21:00] Dave: Ugh. I’m sorry. I love you. I know this is probably just making you feel even worse 🤦‍♂️
[2026-05-16 14:23:00] Sam Willis: You’re not making me feel worse.
[2026-05-16 14:24:00] Sam Willis: I try not to bring this sort of stuff up often bc i also don’t want US to be that stereotypical affair kind of relationship 😩
[2026-05-16 14:25:00] Sam Willis: Like…I don’t want to be in an affair. Half the time, I kind of forget that we are. 😬 and then you wonder like how the fuck we even got here. But then you can’t imagine it not being what it is.
[2026-05-16 14:26:00] Sam Willis: I love you.
[2026-05-16 14:27:00] Dave: Right?! It feels so… regular relationship-y in every other way
[2026-05-16 14:28:00] Sam Willis: But then I get bummed when I like can’t share my happiness about “us” with anyone else.
[2026-05-16 14:28:00] Sam Willis: It just sucks having to keep a big part of my life, a secret
[2026-05-16 14:31:00] Dave: I know!! Like, I want to meet your parents 🤦‍♂️
[2026-05-16 14:31:00] Dave: I’ve been thinking about this the whole time you’ve been there 😕
[2026-05-16 14:32:00] Sam Willis: Me too!! 😭
[2026-05-16 14:33:00] Sam Willis: And how well you’d get along with everyone
[2026-05-16 14:33:00] Dave: Don’t be sorry
[2026-05-16 14:33:00] Sam Willis: I know
[2026-05-16 14:33:00] Dave: Sigh
[2026-05-16 14:33:00] Sam Willis: I’m sorry baby
[2026-05-16 14:35:00] Dave: I mean, I’ve never been able to talk this openly and honestly about really hard shit with anyone else
[2026-05-16 14:35:00] Dave: Or maybe… do… idek lol. This is just another reason we’re so perfect 🙄
[2026-05-16 14:36:00] Sam Willis: Same
[2026-05-16 14:38:00] Sam Willis: Do you know what that emoji does remind me of though?
[2026-05-16 14:38:00] Sam Willis: 🫂
[2026-05-16 14:39:00] Dave: It kinda reminds me of cancer patients 😬
[2026-05-16 14:39:00] Sam Willis: Either 1. Two men hugging or 2. A father holding his young son 🤣
[2026-05-16 14:39:00] Dave: Yeah I can see those
[2026-05-16 14:39:00] Dave: What?
[2026-05-16 14:40:00] Sam Willis: Well sometimes you’re hugging bc you’re sad!
[2026-05-16 14:40:00] Sam Willis: Ok welp we gotta stop using this one lol
[2026-05-16 14:40:00] Dave: Something about the color makes it feel sad too
[2026-05-16 14:40:00] Sam Willis: Omggggg
[2026-05-16 14:41:00] Dave: Sure
[2026-05-16 14:45:00] Sam Willis: I can’t wait to have absolutely perfect sex with you 🫠
[2026-05-16 14:48:00] Dave: Abstinence period?
[2026-05-16 14:48:00] Dave: God I know!! I’m sooo looking forward to that
[2026-05-16 14:48:00] Dave: Will you actually abide this time?!
[2026-05-16 14:49:00] Sam Willis: I ALWAYS ABIDE
[2026-05-16 14:49:00] Sam Willis: yes but maybe for only 5 days hehe
[2026-05-16 14:49:00] Sam Willis: yes but maybe for only 5 days hehe
[2026-05-16 14:52:00] Dave: You got an exception last time iirc
[2026-05-16 14:52:00] Sam Willis: And that was like on day 2
[2026-05-16 14:52:00] Sam Willis: A one time exception
[2026-05-16 14:52:00] Dave: Which I do
[2026-05-16 14:53:00] Dave: Yep!
[2026-05-16 14:53:00] Dave: That was the price
[2026-05-16 14:53:00] Sam Willis: Lolol
[2026-05-16 14:53:00] Sam Willis: I remember!
[2026-05-16 14:53:00] Sam Willis: Is that when I sent you a pic of my pussy?? 🤣
[2026-05-16 14:54:00] Dave: And you still squirted all over me 🥵🤭

[2026-05-16 14:59:00] Sam Willis: 🤬
[2026-05-16 14:59:00] Dave: Like, your knees might not even touch the bed
[2026-05-16 14:59:00] Dave: Hopefully I’m not too fat for you to even fit on top of me
[2026-05-16 14:59:00] Sam Willis: What are you even SAYING
[2026-05-16 14:59:00] Sam Willis: Lmfao

[2026-05-16 15:00:00] Sam Willis: Haven’t worked out in a week and a half
[2026-05-16 15:01:00] Dave: I just want handfuls of your hair 🤭
[2026-05-16 15:01:00] Dave: You Arrrrrrre

[2026-05-16 15:02:00] Sam Willis: Mmmmm I can’t wait for this either
[2026-05-16 15:02:00] Dave: Me too lol

[2026-05-16 15:06:00] Sam Willis: I reposted some hott shit on Reddit last night
[2026-05-16 15:09:00] Dave: Woooo!!
[2026-05-16 15:09:00] Dave: Let’s check it out
[2026-05-16 15:10:00] Dave: Did you answer them ?
[2026-05-16 15:10:00] Sam Willis: So we should totally ask some of these
[2026-05-16 15:10:00] Sam Willis: Also. I saw someone posted like 50 questions in the hot past subreddit
[2026-05-16 15:11:00] Sam Willis: lol no. I’m going to answer them with you!
[2026-05-16 15:11:00] Sam Willis: OK I’ll ask 5 of them for now…and we both answer. Sound good?
[2026-05-16 15:12:00] Dave: What if we answered them together but did so in the thread on Reddit 😈
[2026-05-16 15:13:00] Sam Willis: Well some of them are geared solely towards women
[2026-05-16 15:13:00] Sam Willis: Maybe there’s a man version out there though
[2026-05-16 15:15:00] Dave: I’m pretty sure that sub is entirely geared towards women lol
[2026-05-16 15:17:00] Dave: You were a busy little beaver last night 😏
[2026-05-16 15:21:00] Sam Willis: Notes message: Fifty One Hotpast Questions https://www.icloud.com/notes/00by4SOKTtQN5bSP8TefdrMew
[2026-05-16 15:22:00] Dave: Because of the rain?
[2026-05-16 15:22:00] Sam Willis: We are at about a standstill
[2026-05-16 15:22:00] Sam Willis: Oooo you’re commenting.
[2026-05-16 15:22:00] Sam Willis: It is pouring raining
[2026-05-16 15:26:00] Dave: Oh wow, those are some good ones!
[2026-05-16 15:26:00] Dave: Oh wow, those are some good ones!
[2026-05-16 15:26:00] Dave: But yeah, looks like all geared towards women
[2026-05-16 15:26:00] Dave: But yeah, looks like all geared towards women
[2026-05-16 15:30:00] Sam Willis: No. I have questions for you. 1. Ever had a threesome? I feel like we’ve talked about this before, and you said no…maybe…. 2. Ever made a porn video of you and…your partner? 🙄 3. Would you have a threesome with me? Another guy or girl? 4. What would you never do? 5. Have you ever been paid for sex?
[2026-05-16 15:36:00] Dave: 1. Correct, no. 2. Yes. Not a “porno” per se, but recorded sex. HD failed like 10 years ago though so it’s no more. 3. Maybe… this is a tough one lol 4. Anything with a guy 5. lol, I wish
[2026-05-16 15:37:00] Dave: You’re still a couple hours away from home right?
[2026-05-16 15:37:00] Dave: Can you answer like… all of these 🥵
[2026-05-16 15:37:00] Dave: Can you answer like… all of these 🥵
[2026-05-16 15:37:00] Sam Willis: ALL?!? oh my lawdddd
[2026-05-16 15:37:00] Sam Willis: ALL?!? oh my lawdddd
[2026-05-16 15:38:00] Dave: Hehehe
[2026-05-16 15:38:00] Dave: If you think of any more for me while you’re doing it, just lmk
[2026-05-16 15:38:00] Sam Willis: OK are there any questions you DON’T want me to answer though
[2026-05-16 15:38:00] Dave: Thanks baby! You’re the best
[2026-05-16 15:38:00] Sam Willis: Ok. Well. Lucky you. I am stopping to get icecream but then I’ll be in the car for another hour or so soooo I’ll have time to update the note.
[2026-05-16 15:38:00] Sam Willis: Just for you
[2026-05-16 15:39:00] Dave: Hmmm
[2026-05-16 15:39:00] Dave: I’ll take a look and mark them
[2026-05-16 15:42:00] Dave: Nope. I want to know every one 😈🥵
[2026-05-16 16:17:00] Sam Willis: Finally done!!
[2026-05-16 16:30:00] Sam Willis: Has a friend ever watched you have sex? Have you ever watched a friend?
[2026-05-16 16:30:00] Sam Willis: Have you ever had sex that wasnt worth the hype?
[2026-05-16 16:31:00] Sam Willis: What was the riskiest sex you've had?
[2026-05-16 16:35:00] Sam Willis: I think so too. And then I’m like omg I’m so vanilla
[2026-05-16 16:35:00] Dave: Very hot and interesting
[2026-05-16 16:35:00] Dave: Very hot and interesting
[2026-05-16 16:35:00] Dave: I think we’ve talked about a lot of that
[2026-05-16 16:35:00] Dave: I think we’ve talked about a lot of that
[2026-05-16 16:36:00] Dave: No but a friend and I made out with our respective dates on the same bed
[2026-05-16 16:36:00] Dave: No but a friend and I made out with our respective dates on the same bed
[2026-05-16 16:38:00] Dave: Oh yeah. This chic that I’d known all through middle and Highschool. We were never friends in school but we ended up hooking up about a year after we graduated. She was super fun to hang out with but sex was meh. Ofc, I was like, 19 so wtf did I know anyway lol.
[2026-05-16 16:39:00] Dave: Hmmm.. probably in the back seat of a car in the Walmart parking lot
[2026-05-16 16:39:00] Dave: Hmmm.. probably in the back seat of a car in the Walmart parking lot
[2026-05-16 16:40:00] Dave: Me and a friend boned the same girl in the same day. So kinda the revers of the question you had lol
[2026-05-16 16:40:00] Sam Willis: Ahhhh!!
[2026-05-16 16:40:00] Dave: Or… we were to the brothers lol
[2026-05-16 16:40:00] Dave: Here’s a bonus one:
[2026-05-16 16:41:00] Sam Willis: A part of me kind of feels like you’ve mentioned this before. Maybe.
[2026-05-16 16:41:00] Dave: Yeah
[2026-05-16 16:41:00] Dave: And unfortunately he’s known to have a huge hog lol
[2026-05-16 16:41:00] Sam Willis: Who got her first?? 😂
[2026-05-16 16:41:00] Dave: He did
[2026-05-16 16:41:00] Sam Willis: Did you guys know it at the time?
[2026-05-16 16:42:00] Sam Willis: Lmaoooo
[2026-05-16 16:42:00] Dave: But he’d been dating her… “dating”.. for a couple weeks. So I’d met her. She was smoking hot. Like, 10/10 but she was sooooo dumb. Poor thing
[2026-05-16 16:42:00] Sam Willis: I’m sure you were the best baby 🥵
[2026-05-16 16:43:00] Sam Willis: How did you end up having sex with her?
[2026-05-16 16:43:00] Sam Willis: And he didn’t mind?
[2026-05-16 16:47:00] Dave: He was tired of her and all but ghosting her for a week. Which I knew. Michael had sex with her that morning because she spent the night with him, I guess. Michael had gone back to his mom’s house where he lived full time that day. We all hung out as his uncles house so she and I were there with his uncle and uncle’s wife that night. Had some drinks, didn’t want to drive so we went to the downstairs bedroom where I was going to sleep on the couch and she was gonna sleep in the bed. Next thing you know she’s sucking my dick
[2026-05-16 16:48:00] Dave: I think I asked Michael if he minded if I “took” her when he left, totally joking… Just because of how hot she was. But he was like: PLEASE dude.
[2026-05-16 16:50:00] Dave: So we talked for about 2 weeks before I realized how pitiful she was. I felt really bad because she clearly just wanted to be liked and that’s why she was so easy. So I legitimately tried to find a way to like her but, I just couldn’t.
[2026-05-16 16:51:00] Sam Willis: Why was she so pitiful
[2026-05-16 16:51:00] Sam Willis: Dave!!
[2026-05-16 16:52:00] Sam Willis: Update: we just got home.
[2026-05-16 16:52:00] Sam Willis: <no text>
[2026-05-16 16:58:00] Dave: Good night lol
[2026-05-16 16:59:00] Sam Willis: 3 hrs of graduations, 1 hr of not moving in a parking lot, 8 hrs of driving, and 5 hrs of sleep
[2026-05-16 16:59:00] Dave: She was just really dumb. And I feel bad saying it like that because she was nice and meant well. But she didn’t shit about fuck, and couldn’t hold a conversation for anything
[2026-05-16 17:00:00] Sam Willis: Ditzy? Or like uneducated
[2026-05-16 17:00:00] Sam Willis: You know how some girls like pretend to be dumb bc they think it’s cute?
[2026-05-16 17:00:00] Sam Willis: <no text>

[2026-05-16 18:38:00] Sam Willis: OK white Jeep story. After the absolute clusterfuck of trying to get out of the graduation today. We FINALLY were at the last traffic light to get out and there’s a white jeep in the lane to the right of us. And we are stopped on red. All of a sudden, this dude (the driver) opens the door and starts to like get out and he’s SCREAMING!! “I AM SO FUCKING SICK OF THE DRAMA!!”
[2026-05-16 18:39:00] Sam Willis: Then he decides to get back in, slams his door shut, and just continues to go OFF on his family. Wife and kids. I have no idea wtf about but we watched him for no joke 3 minutes bc we kept driving alongside him. He never stopped yelling and he was waving his arms all around and I’m like this is a total fucking domestic violence situation waiting to happen. Dude was absolutely losing it

[2026-05-16 19:37:00] Sam Willis: So it’s kind of funny/interesting to me to hear your perspective on how moving is much more traumatic than people think, so much development happened, etc. buttttttt I’ve essentially said the same thing about divorce and the grief after that, and you kind of were like meh
[2026-05-16 19:38:00] Sam Willis: Not the actual going through the divorce, splitting assets, custody orders, all that horrendous shit. But I’m taking about the emotional grief after
[2026-05-16 19:39:00] Sam Willis: How much of who you are as a person is specific to that one other relationship or person
[2026-05-16 19:50:00] Dave: Yeah those are good points and I probably still do underestimate it
[2026-05-16 19:51:00] Dave: You should watch it

[2026-05-16 21:25:00] Dave: But I feel bad for her

[2026-05-16 21:27:00] Sam Willis: Don’t tell me!!!
[2026-05-16 21:27:00] Sam Willis: I’m still of the mind that she was trying to kill them and herself

[2026-05-16 21:29:00] Sam Willis: I do love your empathy for kids
[2026-05-16 21:34:00] Sam Willis: Everything she says is so scripted and she keeps dodging her eyes
[2026-05-16 21:35:00] Sam Willis: And then she purposely goes into court looking like she’s 12. Such bullshit
[2026-05-16 21:44:00] Sam Willis: I do feel like they didn’t do enough to prove intent
[2026-05-16 21:45:00] Dave: Yeah idk
[2026-05-16 21:45:00] Dave: I’m still back and forth
[2026-05-16 21:46:00] Sam Willis: On this being an accident vs intentional?
[2026-05-16 21:49:00] Dave: No I think it was intentional
[2026-05-16 21:50:00] Dave: And I think she really is sorry and devastated
[2026-05-16 21:55:00] Sam Willis: I think…that as a dumb kid…she didn’t realize the gravity of what she was doing. How she could go to prison for life and shit.
[2026-05-16 21:55:00] Sam Willis: I think…that as a dumb kid…she didn’t realize the gravity of what she was doing. How she could go to prison for life and shit.

[2026-05-16 21:55:00] Sam Willis: I don’t get that vibe
[2026-05-16 21:55:00] Sam Willis: Do you think she was trying to kill herself too?
[2026-05-16 22:06:00] Dave: She definitely didn’t have any concept of what she was doing.
[2026-05-16 22:09:00] Sam Willis: What are you still doing up?
[2026-05-16 22:11:00] Dave: What are YOU doing up?!

[2026-05-16 22:15:00] Dave: Good night baby ❤️
[2026-05-16 22:15:00] Sam Willis: Good night love. I hope you sleep well
[2026-05-16 22:15:00] Sam Willis: I’m going to try to sleep. Got a lot on my mind though and the small nap probably fucked it all up. We will see! Talk to you tomorrow!
[2026-05-16 22:17:00] Dave: NN love 💕
[2026-05-16 22:17:00] Sam Willis: ❤️
[2026-05-16 22:17:00] Dave: Well if you can’t sleep, tell me what’s on your mind 😘

The phone rang at eleven-forty, and Sam picked up on the second buzz because she'd been staring at the ceiling for an hour, unable to sleep, unable to cry properly, unable to do anything but hold the shape of the day in her chest.

"Hey," Dave said. Just that. And she felt her throat close.

"Hey."

The guest room in her sister's house was small and beige and smelled like someone else's laundry detergent. Her niece's graduation gown was hanging on the closet door across from her, the tassel catching a slice of hallway light. Joe's diagnosis was still sitting on her sternum like a stone. She was so tired her bones felt hollowed out.

"Talk to me," he said.

"I don't know what to say."

"Then don't say anything. Just do what I tell you."

She closed her eyes. There it was — that shift, that steadying hand pressed flat against the wobble of her whole day. Her body went quiet before her mind did.

"Okay."

"Are you alone?"

"Yeah. Christian's downstairs, Meg's asleep. Door's locked."

"Good. Get up. Lock it again."

She got up. Padded across the carpet in the oversized t-shirt she slept in. Turned the deadbolt she'd already turned. Came back and sat on the edge of the bed and waited, because that was what he was asking her to do — wait, and be told.

"On the bed. On your back. Shirt off."

She pulled the shirt over her head. The air conditioning hit her skin and her nipples tightened immediately, and she felt the first ripple of something loosening in her chest, the day beginning to drain out of her ribs into the space he was making.

"Off."

"It's off."

"Panties too."

She slid them down her legs and kicked them onto the floor.

"Now put me on speaker and set the phone on the pillow next to your head. I want to hear you."

She did. His voice bloomed close to her ear, that unhurried Virginia cadence, and she let out a breath she'd been holding since the airport.

"Baby," he said. "I know today was heavy. I know you're wrung out. So we're going to do this slow. You're not going to come until I say. You're going to keep your hands where I put them. And you're going to talk to me the whole time. Understand?"

"Yes."

"Yes what."

"Yes, Dave."

"Good girl. Hands above your head. Wrists crossed. Left over right. Pretend they're tied. If you move them I'll know."

She lifted her arms and crossed her wrists against the headboard. The pretense of restraint pulled at something real in her — the moment her hands went still, her whole body went still with them, that quiet click of surrender she'd tried and failed to find in a hot bath earlier. Nothing worked for her the way his voice did. Nothing.

"Tell me what you look like."

"On my back. Naked. Hands up. It's dark. There's a little light from the hall."

"Are you wet."

She reached — no, she didn't. She wasn't allowed. She could feel it though, the slick already gathering between her thighs from nothing but his voice and the crossed wrists and the word good.

"Yes."

"How wet."

"Enough that I can feel it on my thighs."

"That's from talking. Imagine what you'll be like when I actually touch you."

She made a small sound she hadn't meant to make.

"Right hand," he said. "Just the right one. Down to your tits. Slow. Don't rush me."

She dragged her right hand down, keeping the left crossed above her, and cupped her own breast the way he would have. Her palm was cool against her skin. Her nipple was already hard enough to ache.

"Pinch it. Hard. The way I do."

She pinched, and hissed, and her hips lifted off the mattress an inch before she caught them.

"There she is," he murmured. "There's my girl. Do the other one. Same thing. I want to hear it."

She switched hands — no, wait, she'd forgotten. She uncrossed to do it and then remembered and made a small distressed noise.

"I moved my hand. I'm sorry."

He was quiet for a beat. She could feel him deciding. That was one of the things about him — the pauses. The way punishment or mercy or something else entirely could live in a two-second silence.

"You're going to make it up to me," he said finally. "You're going to keep going, and every time you're close I'm going to stop you, and you're going to thank me. Understand?"

Her cunt clenched around nothing. "Yes, Dave."

"Now the other nipple. Left hand can move. Right stays where I put it."

She obeyed. The pinch was sharper this time, meaner, because she was punishing herself a little, because she wanted him to hear it. She whimpered into the phone and heard his breath hitch on the other end.

"Down," he said. "Left hand. Between your legs. Don't put anything inside you yet. Just feel how wet you are and tell me."

Her fingers slid down her stomach and through the slick, and she made a noise that was almost a laugh, almost a sob, because it was ridiculous how much of it there was, how instantly her body did this for him.

"I'm soaked. It's — Dave, it's running down."

"That's for me."

"I know."

"Say it."

"It's for you. All of it's for you."

"Good girl. Now two fingers. Slow. And tell me what it feels like."

She pushed two fingers into herself and her back arched off the mattress, and she gasped, and she told him — hot, tight, aching, the specific way her body clenched down looking for something bigger than her own hand, the specific way her clit was throbbing untouched.

"Curl them. Find the spot. Don't touch your clit yet."

She curled her fingers and found it and her thighs started shaking almost immediately. She'd been keyed up all day without knowing it — grief had been sitting in her body like static and her body had been converting it, the way it always did with him, into want.

"I'm close already."

"No you're not. Stop."

She stopped. Pulled her hand back. It was streaked to the knuckle. She was panting into the pillow.

"Thank me."

"Thank you."

"For what."

"For not letting me."

"That's right, baby. That's exactly right. Again. Same thing."

He walked her through it four times. Twice with her fingers inside her, twice with her palm on her clit and her fingers held still, and every time she got to the edge he told her to stop and she did, and she thanked him, and by the fourth time she was crying — not the day's crying, not the Joe crying, but the other kind, the kind where her body was so tuned to his voice that tears were just the overflow, involuntary, clean.

"You're crying," he said gently.

"Yeah."

"Tell me why."

"Because it's too much. Because I needed this. Because I—" She swallowed. "Because I couldn't be a person today and you're letting me not be one."

"You can be less than a person for me anytime you want, sweetheart. That's what I'm for."

"I love you."

"I love you. Hand back down. This is the last time. When I tell you, you're going to come, and you're going to say my name, and you're going to keep saying it until you can't."

"Okay."

"On your clit. Slow circles. The way you like when I'm eating you out."

She groaned — that phrase alone almost did it, the memory of his mouth, the way he'd said this morning that he couldn't wait to eat her pussy and she'd gone wet standing in her sister's kitchen holding a coffee cup. She rubbed slow circles and her hips started rolling into her own hand, and she was babbling, half-words, please, please Dave, please.

"Faster. Not harder. Faster."

She sped up and everything in her lower body drew tight, a knot pulling closed.

"Fingers back inside. Both hands working. I want to hear it wet."

She pushed two fingers back in and the sound was audible even to her, the phone picking it up — obscene, sloppy, her body offering itself up.

"That's it. That's my girl. Look at you. Wish you could see what I'm seeing in my head right now."

"Tell me. Tell me — I'm gonna—"

"You're gonna wait one more second. Look at me, Sam."

She opened her eyes in the dark like he was actually there.

"Come."

She broke. Her whole body seized up around her fingers and her free hand slammed down against the mattress and she said his name like she'd been told to, and then again, and then it wasn't really his name anymore, just the shape of it, the vowel, over and over, wet, ragged, her thighs shaking so hard the mattress moved. It went on longer than she thought a body could sustain. He kept talking, low and constant, that's it, good girl, all of it, give me all of it, and she gave him all of it, every scrap of the day, every clenched thing she'd been holding, until she was empty and boneless and weeping quietly into the pillow with her hand still between her legs.

"There you are," he said, after. "There you are."

She couldn't speak yet. She just breathed. He waited.

"Get a washcloth," he said eventually. "Warm water. Clean yourself up. I'll stay on."

She stumbled to the little ensuite bathroom on legs that didn't quite work, ran the tap until it was warm, wiped herself down. Her wrists were red where she'd been crossing them so hard. She hadn't noticed.

"Water," he said when she came back. "Whole glass. There's one on the nightstand — I bet Meg put it there."

There was. She hadn't even noticed. She drank the whole thing and set it down and lay back on the pillow next to the phone.

"Hi," she whispered.

"Hi, baby."

"Thank you."

"Anytime. Every time. Always."

They stayed on the line. She could hear him breathing, the faint sound of his ceiling fan two thousand miles away. She thought about Phoenix, about how he'd told her she'd miss it, about how it was true and how it also didn't matter because whatever she was building she was building toward him. She thought about Joe. She thought about how her body felt now — heavy, wrung out, warm — versus how it had felt an hour ago, when she'd been braced against everything.

"I can still feel my heartbeat between my legs," she murmured.

"Good."

"You're a menace."

"Mm."

"Dave."

"Yeah."

"Don't hang up till I'm asleep."

"I wasn't going to."

She turned onto her side and pulled the covers up and put her cheek near the phone like it was his chest. Her eyes were already closing. Somewhere in the last minute before she went under, she heard him say good night, love, and she meant to answer him, she really did, but her body had already been given permission to let go, and it had taken him at his word, and there was nothing left in her that could hold on to anything at all.

The bell on the door hadn't rung in six hours, and the coffee in Sam's cup had gone the color of the rain outside.

She sat in the corner booth of the Blue Owl Diner off Route 66, west of Kingman, watching the two-lane through the window while the neon COFFEE sign buzzed and flickered like something dying slow. A leather grip on the seat beside her. A snub-nose in her purse. Fifty-three thousand dollars in a shoebox under the table, wrapped in the funny pages from a Phoenix Sunday paper.

She wasn't supposed to be here.

She was supposed to be in Flagstaff by now, on a bus to nowhere, but the man who'd promised the passport hadn't shown, and the man who wanted the money back was somewhere behind her on this highway, and the diner was the only lit thing in twenty miles of desert.

The bell rang.

She didn't turn. She watched him in the reflection instead — the smoked window giving her a ghost of him coming through the door, tall and unhurried, rain black across the shoulders of a canvas jacket. Bald head shining wet under the fluorescents. He took his time. He took off the jacket and hung it on the hook like he'd been coming to this diner his whole life.

He sat down across from her.

"You made it complicated, sugar," he said. Virginia in his mouth, soft as tobacco smoke. "You know that."

"I made it interesting."

"You made it interesting three states ago. Now you made it complicated."

The waitress didn't come. The waitress had gone home an hour ago and left the pot on the burner and the door unlocked and a five-dollar bill on the counter that said don't ask. Sam had watched her go.

"You alone?" she said.

"For now."

"How long's now?"

Dave looked at his watch. It was an old thing, a steel Hamilton with a cracked crystal. "About forty minutes. Maybe an hour if the rain holds."

She let out a breath she'd been holding since Barstow.

"Then we got that," she said.

He almost smiled. "We got that."

His eyes went down to the table between them, to her hand around the coffee cup, to the tremble in it she hadn't noticed until he looked. He reached across and took the cup out of her fingers and set it aside and put his hand over hers. Warm. Dry. Steady in a way nothing in her life had been steady in two years.

"Sam."

"Don't."

"Sam. Look at me."

She looked. She'd been trying not to. His eyes were the same brown they'd been the first time she'd seen him, four years back, across a smoky room in a city they'd both been lying about being from. Trained by the same people. Turned by different ones. He was supposed to bring her in. He'd been supposed to bring her in for eleven months.

"I'm not taking you back," he said.

"You will."

"No."

"Dave."

"I'm not taking you back," he said again, and the word landed like a hand on the small of her back, and she felt herself go weak in a way that had nothing to do with the money or the gun or the men on the road.

"Then what are you doing here."

He looked at the window. The rain sheeting down it. The dark beyond.

"I'm getting in the car with you," he said.

She stared at him.

"You're not serious."

"I've been serious about you since Denver, sugar. You just weren't listening."

Something broke loose in her chest — some seam she'd been sewing shut for a year and a half. She felt her eyes go hot and hated it and let it happen anyway because it was only him and he'd already seen everything else.

"I'm tired," she said. "I'm so tired, Dave."

"I know."

"I thought I could —"

"I know."

He moved. He came around the booth and slid in beside her and pulled her against his chest and she went. Just went. The canvas of his shirt smelled like rain and gun oil and the aftershave he'd worn for as long as she'd known him. She pressed her face into the side of his neck and felt his pulse against her cheek, unhurried, like nothing in the world was coming for them.

"They're forty minutes behind you," she whispered.

"Then we've got forty minutes."

"Dave —"

"C'mere."

His hand came up under her jaw, tilted her face, and he kissed her.

Four years of not doing this. Four years of standing across rooms from each other while other people talked. Four years of his voice on a scrambled line saying good night, love, and her hanging up and staring at the ceiling of some safehouse in some city with her hand between her legs because his voice had done that to her from a thousand miles away.

She made a sound into his mouth that wasn't a word. His hand slid down her throat, her collarbone, the front of her blouse. Her nipples had gone hard the second the bell rang. She was already wet. She'd been wet since she'd seen his reflection in the window. Instantly, humiliatingly wet, like her body had been waiting for a signal her mind hadn't gotten yet.

"Booth," he said against her mouth. "Or bathroom."

"Bathroom."

He stood and pulled her up with him and she grabbed the shoebox on instinct and he took it from her and set it back on the seat.

"Nobody's coming through that door for thirty-five minutes," he said. "Leave it."

She left it.

The bathroom was single-stall, a bare bulb, a chipped sink, a cracked mirror. He locked the door behind them and she was on him before he'd turned around, hands under his shirt, mouth on his throat, and he made a low sound and lifted her and set her on the edge of the sink and got her skirt shoved up around her waist.

"Christ," he said, when he found her underwear soaked through. "Sam."

"I know."

"How long."

"Since I saw you in the window."

"Sugar."

He dropped to his knees on the tile.

She watched him do it. The size of him folding down. The way he looked up at her with her skirt bunched around her hips and hooked his fingers in her underwear and pulled them down her thighs slow, watching her face the whole time. He put his mouth on her without ceremony. Flat of his tongue up the length of her cunt and then his lips closed around her clit and she slapped her hand over her own mouth because the sound that came out of her would have been heard on the highway.

He ate her like he'd been thinking about it for four years. Because he had. His tongue worked her open and his fingers came up and he pushed two into her and curled them and she bucked so hard she nearly went off the sink and his other hand caught her hip and pinned her flat to the porcelain.

"Stay," he murmured against her. "Stay right there for me."

"Dave —"

"Quiet."

She bit down on the meat of her own hand. His fingers fucked her slow and his mouth stayed on her clit and she could hear how wet she was, obscene in the small tiled room, the slick sound of his hand moving in her, and she was shaking, her whole body shaking, the fluorescent light strobing behind her eyelids.

"I'm gonna —"

"Do it."

She came against his mouth with her hand clamped over her face and her thighs locked around his ears and he didn't let up, didn't slow, worked her through it until she was pushing his forehead away because it was too much, whimpering, boneless.

He stood up. His mouth was shining. He wiped it on the back of his wrist and then he kissed her and she tasted herself on him and it made her groan into his mouth.

"Turn around," he said.

She turned.

The mirror. Her face in it — flushed, wrecked, hair coming out of the pins. His face behind her over her shoulder, calm as weather. He undid his belt one-handed. She heard the buckle, the zipper, the soft sound of fabric moving. She reached back and got her hand around him and he was so hard it hurt her palm and he made a sound in his throat that she filed away to remember for the rest of her life.

"Look at me," he said, and pushed inside her in one long slow stroke.

She watched her own mouth fall open in the mirror.

He filled her up until she couldn't breathe and then he held there, both hands on her hips, watching her face. Watching what he was doing to her. He rolled his hips and she felt every inch of him drag inside her and she made a sound that wasn't language.

"Four years, sugar."

"I know."

"Four goddamn years of you."

He started to move. Slow at first, deep, the sink rocking against the wall. Her palms flat on the mirror. Her breath fogging it. He got a hand up into her hair and gathered it and pulled — not hard, just enough to arch her back, just enough to lift her eyes to his in the glass.

"Watch," he said.

She watched.

His face over her shoulder. The muscle in his jaw. His hand fisted in her hair. His other hand sliding around her hip and down between her legs, finding her clit again, working it in circles while he fucked her. She was making noise now and she couldn't stop it and he didn't tell her to stop. He wanted to hear it. She could see it in his face. He wanted every sound she'd been swallowing for four years.

"Harder," she breathed. "Please, Dave — harder —"

He gave it to her.

The sink knocked against the wall. His hips slapped into her ass, wet, loud, filthy. The mirror shook. Her tits swung inside her blouse. She could hear how wet she was around him, could hear the sound of it, could feel him hitting some place inside her that made her legs go stupid.

"Gonna come again," she gasped. "I'm gonna —"

"Come on my cock, sugar. Come on."

She did. She broke apart against the mirror with his hand in her hair and his fingers on her clit and his cock buried in her and she felt him lose it a second later, felt him go still and shove deep and groan against the back of her neck as he came inside her in long hot pulses.

They stayed there. His forehead against her shoulder blade. His breath ragged. His hand loosening in her hair, sliding down to rest flat between her breasts, over her heart.

"Meant to be," she whispered, without meaning to.

He lifted his head. Met her eyes in the mirror.

"Yeah," he said. "It is."

Outside, on the highway, a set of headlights swept the diner window and kept going.

He straightened. Zipped his pants. Pulled her skirt down and smoothed it like he was tucking in a child. Turned her around and kissed her forehead and held her face in both hands for a second longer than he had time for.

"Get the box," he said. "I'm driving."

She nodded. She got the box. She put her hand in his and he opened the bathroom door and the bell on the diner door rang once more as they walked out into the rain and got in a car that neither of the men behind them knew the make of, and the neon COFFEE sign kept buzzing behind them, flickering slow, and the road ahead was black and open and theirs.

The graduation program is still curled up in Sam's back pocket when she opens the hotel room door at 9:47 on a Saturday night, and Dave is the first thing she sees that isn't family.

"You," she says, and the word breaks a little in the middle.

He'd flown standby out of Dulles that morning without telling her, mostly because he'd known she would tell him not to. He'd texted from the Phoenix airport an hour ago, a photo of a rideshare app and the words don't kill me. She had sat down on the edge of her sister's guest bed and cried for eleven minutes, then washed her face, then made an excuse about needing to check into the hotel she'd already booked for tomorrow's early flight.

He is holding a plastic CVS bag. He is wearing the gray henley she likes.

"I brought peanut butter cups," he says.

She laughs — one wet, startled sound — and steps back to let him in.

The room is generic in the way all airport hotels are: two beds she doesn't need, an ice bucket she won't use, curtains half-open onto a parking lot and the neon of a Denny's across the street. He drops the bag on the desk. He looks at her, and everything she has been holding all week — Joe's diagnosis, her niece walking across a stage in polyester, the traffic, the three-hour dinner with her mother's new husband — comes up her throat at once.

"Come here," he says. Not a command. An offer.

She goes. He takes her weight against his chest the way he takes everything from her, which is to say without flinching, and she stands there in his arms with her forehead against his sternum and breathes through her mouth so she won't cry into the henley.

"You weirdo," she mumbles into him. "You absolute weirdo. You flew here."

"I flew here."

"I would have been home tomorrow."

"I know."

"Dave."

"I know."

His hand is at the back of her neck, thumb behind her ear, and she can feel the callus on it from the gym, and she thinks: I have been on the edge of falling apart for four days and now I am not. She thinks: I don't know how he does this. She thinks: I do know how he does this. It's because he shows up.

She lifts her face. He looks at her the way he looks at her — patient, unhurried, already knowing — and she says, "I'm going to need you to stop being sweet in about thirty seconds or I'm going to cry."

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Okay," he says, and his hand slides from her neck down her spine to the small of her back, and he presses her hips flush against his, and she feels him already hard through his jeans, and the whole grief-heavy weight of the week reorganizes itself in her body as something else entirely.

"Oh," she says.

"Yeah."

"You're not sweet."

"I'm both."

She laughs again — different this time, low in her throat — and he catches it in his mouth. The kiss isn't a beginning. It's a resumption. Four years' worth of resumption. She tastes airplane coffee on him and something mint underneath, and her hands are already at the hem of the henley, dragging it up his ribs.

"Bed," he says against her mouth.

"Which one."

"Whichever one you're closer to."

She walks him backward. Her calves hit the mattress and she sits, and he stays standing between her knees, and she looks up at him and the composure she has worn all week goes somewhere she can't reach. She reaches for his belt.

"Slow," he says.

"No."

"Sam."

"No, Dave, I've been slow all week. I have been so fucking slow. I have been patient and good and I sat at a dinner tonight and listened to a man who is not my father talk about pickleball for forty minutes —"

"Baby."

" — so please."

He looks down at her. He puts one hand under her jaw, tips her face up, brushes his thumb across her lower lip. Her mouth opens for him without instruction. He pushes his thumb in and she closes her lips around it and sucks, and his eyes go dark in the way she has known for two years now and still cannot get used to.

"On your knees," he says.

She slides off the bed onto the carpet. Her jeans catch on the mattress on the way down and she doesn't care. He undoes his belt himself because she is shaking a little now and he's faster, and the sound of the buckle is loud in the quiet room, and she is breathing through her mouth again but for a completely different reason.

He pulls his cock out and she leans forward without being told and takes him into her mouth all at once, deep, until she feels him hit the back of her throat and her eyes water, and he exhales through his teeth like she hit him.

"Jesus. Sam. Jesus."

She pulls back, spit stringing between her lower lip and the head of his cock, and looks up at him. "You said."

"I know what I said."

"You said in the audio message —"

"I know what I said."

"— that you wanted me on my knees."

"Yeah."

"So."

He fists a hand in her hair, gentle at first, and then not. "So take it, then."

She does. She takes him in her throat until she gags and her mascara runs, and he holds her there for a beat, then longer, then eases her back so she can breathe, then pushes her down again. Spit runs down her chin and she doesn't wipe it. She loves this. She has never loved anything like she loves the sounds he makes when she does this — the strangled, undone sound in the back of his throat that means he can't remember any of his own carefulness. Her nose bumps his stomach. Her hands are on his thighs and she can feel them shaking.

"Look at you," he says, and his voice is wrecked. "God. Look at you."

She hums around him and he curses.

"Off," he says suddenly, and pulls her back. "Off. If you keep doing that I'm going to come and I want —"

"What."

He's breathing hard. He looks down at her, kneeling on airport-hotel carpet with her chin wet and her hair wrecked, and something in his face softens even while everything else has gone rigid.

"I want to eat your pussy," he says. "I've been thinking about it since Tuesday."

"Oh my God."

"Get on the bed."

She gets on the bed. Her jeans go, her underwear goes, her shirt she pulls off herself and throws somewhere. He is already down between her thighs before she's fully on her back, his hands under her ass hauling her to the edge of the mattress, and then his mouth is on her and she makes a sound she does not recognize.

He eats her like it's the thing he came to Phoenix to do. Slow at first, broad flat strokes of his tongue, and then narrower, more deliberate, working her clit in tight little circles that make her thighs try to close around his head. He pins them open with his forearms. He looks up the length of her body at her while he does it and she cannot handle being looked at right now, she covers her face with both hands and he pulls one of them away and pins it to her hip.

"No. Look at me."

"Dave —"

"Look at me, Sam."

She looks. He holds her eyes and drags his tongue up her cunt in one long stripe, and she comes almost immediately, embarrassingly fast, four days of held tension coming apart in one wave, and he doesn't stop, he works her through it and past it, until she is squirming and gasping and saying okay okay okay like a prayer.

He wipes his mouth on the inside of her thigh. He is smiling.

"You absolute weirdo," she says at the ceiling, breathless.

"Mm."

"You flew here to do that."

"Among other things."

He climbs up her body, kissing the ridge of her hip, the underside of her breast, her collarbone, her jaw. She can taste herself on his mouth when he kisses her and she opens for it, lets him lick into her, wraps her legs around his waist. He is still in his jeans halfway down his thighs. She reaches down and shoves them the rest of the way.

"Now," she says. "Please, now."

He lines up and pushes into her in one slow stroke and she arches off the bed, and he catches her under the shoulder blades and holds her against him.

"Fuck," he says into her hair. "Fuck, I missed you."

"Four days."

"Four days."

"I know."

He starts to move. Not fast — deep, deliberate, the way he fucks her when he wants her to feel every inch of it, and she does, she feels all of it, and she can hear how wet she is around him, obscene in the quiet room, the slick sound every time he pulls back and pushes in. The headboard bumps the wall. She doesn't care. Somewhere in Phoenix her sister is asleep. Somewhere in Virginia is the life he left this morning to come sit inside her tonight.

"Harder," she says.

"Yeah?"

"Harder, Dave, come on —"

He gets a hand under her knee and pushes it up toward her shoulder and drives into her, and she cries out, and he covers her mouth with his hand.

"Shh. Thin walls."

She bites the heel of his hand. He laughs, breathless, and she can feel it everywhere they are joined.

"You're going to miss Phoenix," he says suddenly, apropos of nothing, low and rough into her ear, still moving in her.

"What?"

"You said you wouldn't. You will."

"Dave —"

"I'll be there. When you do."

Something breaks in her chest and she pulls his face down to hers and kisses him, sloppy, off-center, and he keeps fucking her through it, and she can feel a second orgasm building already, tighter than the first, coming from deeper.

"I'm close," she whispers.

"I know."

"How do you always —"

"I know you."

She comes with her forehead pressed to his and her hands white-knuckled on his shoulders, and she feels him go at the same time, feels him shudder and swear and press deep and stay there, and they stay like that a long time, breathing into each other's mouths, not kissing, just breathing.

Eventually he rolls them so she is on top of him, still connected, her ear over his heart.

"Peanut butter cups," he says into her hair, after a while.

"What."

"On the desk. When you can walk."

"Give me twenty minutes."

"Take an hour."

She listens to his heartbeat. The Denny's sign flickers pink through the curtains. Tomorrow she has a 6 a.m. flight home and he will be on it with her because of course he will, he'll have booked it from the CVS.

"Meant to be," she murmurs, half asleep, quoting something she said to him weeks ago and didn't know he remembered.

"Yeah," he says. "We got that."

I woke up feeling a playful kind of energy humming through me. My thoughts danced around Sam, around all the ways I wanted to be close to her, teasing and tempting. It's funny how the mind can conjure such vivid imaginings first thing in the morning—her riding me on the couch flashed through my mind, enough to make me feel the heat of anticipation that left me needing a shower after my run.

Later, I found myself messaging her, dropping hints and playful teases that I knew would spark a smile or maybe more—the kind of banter that's become our language. Sam, always quick on the uptake, fired back with her own brand of teasing affection, that mix of excitement and sarcasm I adore. There’s this electric charge between us, a playful tension that’s both comforting and exhilarating.

As much as the day started with lightness, it shifted when Sam shared about Joe’s health. The weight of her words hung heavy and sobering. I could hear the worry in her voice, the kind of concern that goes beyond surface-level sadness and digs into something deeper. I wanted to be there, to offer my steadiness, my reassurance, even though I was miles away. In moments like these, the distance felt frustratingly tangible, but I knew the best I could do was listen and let her know she wasn’t alone.

Meanwhile, amidst mundane tasks at work, like getting a power strip and peanut butter cups—a reminder of how ordinary life carries on—I was still wrapped up in thoughts of Sam. I’d catch myself thinking about her family’s dynamics, her niece’s graduation, the chaos of traffic she vented about with that blend of frustration and humor that made her stories come alive even from afar.

In the evening, the conversation turned to the possibility of her moving. It's strange how discussions about change can feel like you're balancing on the edge of something uncertain yet inevitable. I asked if she'd miss Phoenix, knowing the answer but wanting to hear it anyway. There’s an emotional weight to leaving a place that holds pieces of your life, and I felt it pressing on both of us, a shared nostalgia that tied into our deeper bond—a kind of introspection that reveals more about who we are together.

We ended up diving into one of our playful Q&As about sexual experiences, the kind that made the air between us crackle. It's incredible how comfortable we are exploring these questions, delving into curiosities with a mix of flirtation and openness that’s rare—each answer peeling back another layer of shared trust. Sam expressed her excitement, her teasing anticipation for our next encounter, and it was enough to pull me back into the warmth of longing.

As night settled in, I felt the day’s emotional landscape stretching behind us—playful, charged, vulnerable, reflective. It’s like we live in this perfect tension between being completely known and constantly discovering more. I sent her a goodnight message, simple but filled with all the tenderness and affection she knows without needing to hear it spelled out. Tomorrow will come, and with it, another chance to be together, even in the small ways we manage in this distance.

MOOD MAP playful → sexually charged → emotional vulnerability → introspective → affectionate

The morning started with such a crackle of energy between Dave and me; it was like there was this invisible thread tugging us closer, sparking in the air with every message. His playful teasing about all the ways he wanted to be with me had me grinning to myself, feeling that delicious flutter of anticipation. Somehow, even through a screen, he knew exactly how to make me feel wanted, special. I couldn’t help but fire back with my own teasing, knowing that beneath the humor, there was a current of something much deeper.

I carried that buoyant feeling with me as I headed to my niece's graduation. The day was a whirlwind of family dynamics, each interaction layered with its own nuance, from the slightly chaotic logistics to the undercurrent of joy and pride. Traffic was its own beast, leaving me frazzled and slightly amused at how predictably unpredictable these events always are.

But then came the news about Joe. The weight of it pressed down on my chest, darkening the edges of my day. I tried to focus on the happy occasion, yet the worry for his health kept intruding, pulling me into a somber space. Dave somehow sensed it, even from miles away. His texts shifted effortlessly from playful to supportive, and I felt an immense wave of gratitude for his constant presence. He has this way about him—steady and unwavering—that makes me feel like I can share anything with him, even the things that hurt.

Our evening call was a balm. We talked about the possibility of my move, the bittersweet nature of leaving Phoenix, which has cradled so many of my memories. There was a reflective silence that felt full, not empty, as if both of us were processing the significance of change. "You’ll miss Phoenix," he said, and in those words, there was an acknowledgment of everything that place means to me. Yet, I also felt the undercurrent of what he was saying—wherever I go, he would be there, too, in his way.

The conversation meandered back to lighter topics, punctuated by laughter and the shared rhythm of our banter. We slipped into a playful Q&A, delving into questions about experiences we’d normally keep tucked away. It was cheeky and fun, a reminder that even in the serious, we find room for the light-hearted. His imagination seemed boundless, and I loved how it matched my own, both of us exploring the edges of what we know together.

By the time it was over, my heart felt both lighter and fuller. Dave’s final words of tenderness wrapped around me like a warm embrace, the kind that lingers long after the moment has passed. As I lay in bed, the day replaying in soft-edged memories, I realized that no matter where life takes me, this connection with Dave is an anchor—a source of unwavering support and deep-seated joy. Ending the day with "Good night love," from him was like setting a bookmark in our story, a promise to pick up where we left off tomorrow.
